Hello all

I have a Snom one plus in the DMZ of an ADSL internet access.

On another ADSL internet access I have two Snom 821 and I'm trying for the last two days to make it work.

Here's the log on the PBX:

[9] 2011/10/01 00:50:39: Message repetition, packet dropped

The log of the Snom 821 just gives me the register, not the 200 ok.

Shouldn't I get an ack from somewhere?

I'm not the expert in SIP, but in the same network I have absolutely no problem.

Thank you very much for your help.

Sorry my stupid question, but do I have to do port forwarding on the phone side?

I read in another thread that you don't have to do so. Is this correct?

According to your question I assume the SIP messages are looking fine. At least something..

Another question, why can't I access the Snom GUI over the internet? It's somehow just working from the internal network.

Is this somehow blocked, I couldn't find the access rules..

Thanks for your help.

Stefan

You can also use PnP in Starbucks. But you need to manually put in the provisioning URL, the username and the password. Then the phone will pull down the configuration over the internet and all settings are fine (at least a working starting point). This will save you a lot of time for try & error. The URL that you need to copy into the settings server of the PBX is here: http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Plug_and_Play.
