SoHo Upgrade

Recommended Posts

The later versions of snom ONE on SoHo/mini change not only the password for the PBX web interface, they also change the Linux password. IMHO a very important step for security those embedded systems. The usual passwords are snomONE and nosoup4u (lower case).

You should be able to make an upgrade from the web interface if you are on 4.5.0.1024. In 4.5.0.1090 you can definitively set the password also for the root/Linux account.

If you upgrade the SoHo to 4.5.1 do the check on https://snomone.com/upgradev4 to see if you need a new free license. 4.5.1 needs licenses which are bound to the MAC. If that upgrade check fails send us an email before you upgrade to 4.5.1 so that you are not ending up without license.

Hi,

After reading some other post, I realized that the password was not the problem, but the login. I was using "admin" and I tried also the username that I had changed in the GUI, but the good one was: "root". Using "root" for login and the password that I had set in the GUI did the trick. However, I have not been able to score yet. Having read that I could try the web interface (and it would be so much easier) I tried that but could not upgrade. It remained exactly the same even after I power circled the device. What I was able to see in the log file was:

So, I tried the SSH method but got stuck while trying to get the file. I tried with: root@snomONE-SoHo:/usr/local/snomONE # wget http://downloads.snom.net/snomONE/sheevaplug/v4.5/pbxctrl-sheeva-4.5.0.

and as an answer I got:

--2013-01-06 07:25:56-- http://downloads.snom.net/snomONE/sheevaplug/v4.5/pbxctrl-sheeva-4.5.0.1090

Resolving downloads.snom.net... 188.40.44.83

Connecting to downloads.snom.net|188.40.44.83|:80... connected.

HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 404 Not Found

2013-01-06 07:25:56 ERROR 404: Not Found.

What am I doing wrong?

I would try first to have 4.5.0.1090 at home for a little while before trying to move to 4.5.1

Regards and thanks

New problem. After sucessfully upgrading a few SoHos I found a new roadblock. The last SoHo returned the following error message after tha last step which is restaring

Starting snom ONE daemon./pbxctrl: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `CXXABI_ARM_1.3.3' not found (required by ./pbxctrl)

The unit still responds to SSH but not to the GUI

Am I missing a file or what could have gone wrong?

Regards
