McFone Posted August 8, 2014 Report Share Posted August 8, 2014 Hi, we have more than 25 snom 320 phones and with all we have a audio problem, for the Phone we use G711 We call the voicebox and the sound is very bad also the voice from a caller in the other direction to the caller the voice quality is good. We do a little bit testing of codecs and firmwares We switch the codec to G729A and the voice quality is good no problem in two directions also the audio from the voicebox is good. We test also different firmware version 8.4.35 / 8.7.3.18 and 8.7.3.25 all have the same bad voice quality. Other phones snom 710 etc work without problems on the same pbx Version: 5.2.3 (Debian64) and network ? Vodia PBX Posted August 11, 2014 Report Share Posted August 11, 2014 Well I would say you don't have enough bandwidth. G.711 @ 20 ms takes 80 kbit/s.
