  1. I have the snom 320 phone working within the network, I would like to have the ability to use the phone at my home. I was wondering of anyone has done this and would be kind enough to show me what is needed? I know that there might be some holes to poke open on the firewalls, both home and work. I have the ones open on the work firewall for TCP and UDP 160 and range listed on the snom phone of 45000 to 65534. could not get it to work from home, I have a smoothwall firewall in place. Thanks
  2. I am having a hard time getting the SMTP delivery to work. I get the following error in the logs. SMTP server returned 502, the mail is not delivered. Here is the setting for the domain. Email Settings: From (e.g. Joe Average <ja@domain.com>): / " name="email_from" class=inputbig> Account (e.g. user1): dallred@vensureinc.com Password (e.g. secret): *********** SMTP Server (e.g. smtp.domain.com): vitxdc1.ion-internal.com The server is waiting, I can telnet to the server from the box on port 25. Another item on this problem is that when I look at teh config file for the domain, it contains the following, but I only see a / when accessed from the web as above. <email_from>"Phone System"<dallred@vensureinc.com></email_from> <email_pass>***********</email_pass> <email_smtp>vitxdc1.ion-internal.com</email_smtp> <email_user>dallred@vensureinc.com</email_user> any help would be helpfull. Thanks David

    Soft Phones

What is a good soft phone that will work with the PBXnSIP and Windows?
  4. I just noticed that the MAC address is included in the license file, If I move the installation to a new server that has dual NICs what do I have to do to get it up and running. I am new to this and need some help.
  5. What is the best way to setup the PBXnSIP in a network with a Pix Firewall. I have seen the paper on using the DMZ but I would also like to hear from someone with first had experience with the PBX and Cisco.\ Thanks David
  6. I will be getting a system that is already setup soon and will need to install it on my network. I have a Cisco PIX 515 Firewall and will need to know what ports, or other items that will help me setting this up. I do not knwo what the current config is so I am looking on getting general information first, then I will ask specifics if I can not get it up and running. The network does have one IP address out of 5 that is external and is free to use if needed. The system will also have Exchange server 2003 on it also. I would prefer to place it in a DMZ and dual nic the system. Thanks David
