koolandrew
Does anyone have any good suggestions for a live failover when the pbxctrl.exe stops working. It gets stuck with great regularity and even though we probe it, the service will go down for a minimum of five minutes. I realize that it doesnt sound like much, but our goal is to be up 100% of the time as our customers have long memories. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Vodia PBX
Well, the service should never go down. Having another server does not solve the problem, as it will probably expose the same behavior. If you are on version 4, I would suggest that you upgrade to version 4.5.1 which includes a few critical bug-fixes. Otherwise, you should open a trouble ticket with us and we need to find out what the problem is.
koolandrew
We are currently using version 4.2.0.3981. Are you suggesting that 4.5.1 will get rid of that issue as it must be known as it happens way too frequently. It always works again once we restart the service but there is way too much time being wasted in the process. Please advise.
Vodia PBX
I would definitively recommend to move to 4.5.1. There are several known issues with the releases before 4.5.1 which can take the service down. There is a checklist for upgrades on http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Upgrades what needs to be done to successfully move to 4.5.1.
