  1. Hi all Further testing shows the following: 1) If an external call is made to the PBX via our VOIP trunk, then the cell phone integration works perfectly - ie with the re-direction setup described above, the incoming call to the hunt group will also call the cell phone. The routing is: VOIP Incoming Call->PBX->Cisco SPA-3102 Gateway->PSTN Line->Cell Phone 2) However, with the exactly the same setup, when a call to the PBX via our PSTN trunk, the call is handled by the PBX and routes it to the extensions correctly but not to the cell phone. The routing is now: PSTN Incoming Call->Cisco SPA-3102->PBX->Cisco SPA-3102 Gateway->PSTN Line->Cell Phone. So presumably, the issue maybe in the way the SPA-3102 is handling the income call? Is anyone using a similar solution (SPA-3102) and can shed some light on this? Thanks, Des
  2. "Just retested this case on the same version and seems to work fine here. External call (incoming on a SIP trunk) --> Hunt Group --> Extension and cell phone(outbound on a SIP trunk) both ring. Only difference in the test bed just had 2 SIP trunks instead of a PSTN gateway trunk. Regarding Result#1, Sometimes Gateway first answers the call locally and then sends out the call out to the PSTN world. That's why you see that "Call completed Elsewhere" on the phone after 2 secs (instead of 10)." Not sure if i understand this- this situation happens with an internal call from another ext - should not involve the gateway or PSTN incoming line "Result#: Make sure that the dialplan on the hunt & extensions are setup correctly." Again, please explain. The Dial Plans set for the extensions and hunt is set for routing to trunks and seems to be set up correctly ie. all external numbers are routed correctly, including the cell number, which is routed through the PSTN gateway. "Result#3: "Press '1' to connect call" is for the PBX to play a message to the cell phone user when they answer the call. Useful to differentiate between the cell phone voicemail vs the actual human being" I understand the the reason for this option - I was merely pointing out that the behavior seen with this is as expected unlike result#1 - in both cases I would expect both the ext and the cell to ring but it doesn't. The most important thing for us it for any incoming external call coming via the PSTN gateway is routed to both ext40 and the cell phone and for some reason, we cannot get this to work. I have no doubt that we have set up some aspect of how external calls are treated incorrectly since internal calls are working correctly
  3. Hi All What we want to achieve with Cell phones is basic and obviously works for most of you. Setup: First, we are using Snom One Free vs 2011-4.2.1.4025 (Win32). We have 2 trunks, one VOIP and the other PSTN - using Linksys SPA-3102 gateway. There are 9 extensions, using Snom 870's and M9's. All aspects work well including dial plans for selecting the 2 trunks etc. All incoming calls are via PSTN trunk - the VOIP trunk may also be used for incoming, but the number is anonymous, so mostly used for calling out. The PSTN trunk is set to "Send call to Ext 72" which is Hunt Group. The Hunt Group calls ext 40, 49 for 10 sec, then ext 40, 43,44,49,45,46,47 for 15 secs then back to ex 40 for 10 secs with Final Stage: 840 (I have also tried setting the PSTN trunk "Send call to Ext 40" with similar results as described later) Ext 40 is the main office phone (Snom 870) and has been set up with Cell Phone Integration as follows: Cell Phone Number: 021633166 Confirmation: No Confirmation Required Incl the cell phone in calls to ext: Immediately When calling the ext in a hunt group: Include cell phone in the group When calling the ext in an agent group: Dont call cell phone Include cell phone for web callback: Dont call cell phone Specify time when system calls the cell phone: No specific time excluded When cell phone calls the PBX: Offer personal virtual assistant Result: 1) If a call is made internally from an ext to either ext 40 (Snom 870) or ext 72, then get a 2 sec ring on Ext 40, then the message "call completed elsewhere" on the Ext40, followed by the cell phone ringing and call to cell is completed correctly. Although OK, I would have expected both the Ext 40 and cell phone to ring so that call could be picked up from either the Ext 40 or the cell. 2) If a call to the PBX is made externally, and the Trunk is set to either Ext 72 or Ext 40, we have the following result: the cell phone never rings, but if the trunk is set to Ext 72, it goes through the hunt groups as set and if set to ext 40, it calls that only. 3) If Confirmation is changed to "Press '1' to connect call" then the following happens: if an internal call from an ext is made to either Ext40 or Ext72, then both the cell phone and the Ext40 will ring and can be answered by either. This is the expected behavior. However if an external call is made and the trunk routes the call to either Ext72 or Ext40, then only the extensions will ring but no cell phone Conclusion The cell phone integration is working with calls made internally, but not always as expected There is no connection the the cell phone when external calls come through to and routed by the PBX Obviously a setup issue - any help would be appreciated
