I'll just say that pbxnsip is about the best key-system emulation I know off in Windows pbx world.
We do use snom though so if it doesn't work with aastra that would be a problem.

QOS reporting! wow. No, WOW!
It probably would be good to be able to send an email to the admin on bad QOS.
Good stuff guys!

Moishe,
What firewalls do you use instead?
Unfortunately we been selling sonicwalls for years before we did voip so changing won't be easy for us! ;-(
Thanks for you input.
Anyone else?

Hello,
Hello we have a sonicwall and just can't get pbxnsip to work with it. (remote phones and sip trunk)
(remote extensions register/then don;t, one way audio/etc)
Would anyone have step by step for this?
Sonicwall TZ200
Sonic OSEnhanced 5.5.1.0-5o
Latest pbxnsip
-We have seperate public IP for pbx
-we have 2 nics
(i'm fine using 1nic/whatever works! ;-)

This is a hairbrained idea:
do any pbx's have the feature that it checks the current bandwidth/ voip MOS score (using something like http://windowspbx.blogspot.com/2009/12/eve...ified-when.html ) then changed dialing rules?
The service mentioned above has an API.
The reason I ask is just yesterday I had a site that has pstn and sip trunks and the bandwidth on the DSL just went to zero. We could send all calls to pstn over that time ...it would be nice to get an email that the pbx did this automatically....then of course switch back automatically...
any thots? Am i thinking about pbx's too much? ;-)

Okay, yes i didn't change domain name...
matt
-
hmm
I've done that several times and not noticed that issue...
What happens if you manually change the web interface password for the user?
Matt
-
Isn't that quite "flaggy" and gets to quite hard to follow? Especially if we want to setup a couple days ahead...
Please do consider this issue and the issue of automatic flaggs that can be overidden by pressing a button...

nexsip,
Yes, we do have the asterisk in the phone initiating the intercom...
and yes, we have it working on new installs...its only pbxnsip installs that we upgraded from something earlier to 3.4...it seems the extensions that were there before 3.4 don't work? I'm not sure...

Hello,
Okay, let's say we are not closed the entire day on the holiday. How is this setup?
In the "Holiday" field can you type something like: 12/24 3:00P-5:00P
Or something like that?
Or how do you have holiday hours that are NOT the whole day?
I'm sure I'm missing something simple,

Okay, I answer my own question:
In the Patton 4114 config file change:
profile voip default
codec 1 g711alaw64k rx-length 20 tx-length 20
codec 2 g711ulaw64k rx-length 20 tx-length 20
to
profile voip default
codec 1 g711alaw64k rx-length 20 tx-length 20
codec 2 g711ulaw64k rx-length 20 tx-length 20
codec 3 g729 rx-length 20 tx-length 20
It's working for me.
Thanks pbxnsip guys for getting me the demo keys...

Has anyone ever enabled g729 on a Patton 4114?
Do you know what the successful steps are to do this?
Matt
-
No--not multiple registrations-- i know about that too ...
matt
-
No, this is not the issue.
We have this problem too...i haven't taken the time to work thru it...
It seems like if you upgraded to 3.4, the extensions that were there before can't intercom to other extensions...something like that.
I've noticed it too

Does the gateway send sip BYE to the PBX when the remote caller hangs up?
yes.
matt
-
I have a senario:
When a remote caller calls in and comes in port 0/0 and they hang up, the call hangs up.
When a call comes in port 0/1 and the remote caller hangs up, the calls stays...
-We are using patton 4114 fxo gateway.
-We are using 2 of the 4 ports.
-i think both number are verizon.
tx for you thots.,

We are a small contact center with 10 seats and we are looking for a solution which can let us to be very flexible when we have to configure a new project. Many times our customers have divers requests and the system shoul be able to support them.
We are doing inbound, outbound and back office services and we would like to use SIP, IAX or VoiP technology.
Thanks in advance,
pbxnsip is the most feature rich windows ip pbx that I know off.
pbxnsip does not support iax.

I agree with jlr. We have snom 3xx on cisco/linksys poe switches and do nothing special.

Hi,
I haven't had time to dig into this one yet but thot maybe someone worked thru it...
I'm getting reports (from a windows and cs410 pbxnsip install v3.4) that a snom 360 (fw 7.3.14 in all cases) will hang during a call. I just experienced it the other day myself. I was on a long call (1.5 hr?) and it hung...phone buttons wouldn't do anything and I needed to just pull power plug.
Any one else see this?

How can I agree more... I think you need to open a trouble ticket on snom and report the current clock as "buggy".
http://www.voiplink.com/Snom_300_320_360_3...eview_s/110.htm
These guys say the snom phone has a feature most other sip phones don't: an analog clock.
chuckle...

I think it is doable, although I can't find the setting at the moment, I do remember seeing it in digital format, maybe it was only in version 6.
I am sure you can find a youtube video of how to do it.
I checked the http://www.youtube.com/user/landiscomputer guys and they didn't have any thing...
