  1. Also - When I place the call on hold, the hold music comes through.
  2. I tried all of the above with no success. Im beginning to wonder how I got this to provision in the first place. Im going to update to version 5.0.10 and see what happens.
  3. The pcap was taken from the pbx server. The phones were two x-lite soft phones and a snom360 (Connected via PnP). The firewall is set to allow all traffic, tcp or udp. Its strange that the pcap would record the audio coming in from the soft phones, but we could not hear the audio while on the call. Got to love VoIP
  4. Are these instructions still good for ver 5? http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Plug_and_Play#PNP_Firmware Ive got a snom360 that wont connect using the above instructions. Is there an article for all the changes that need to be accounted for? For instance, apparently Polycoms use the mac address instead of the extension number. Are all of these little changes documented or do I get to find them as I go? Its been frustrating working with ver 5. Seems like a lot has changed and I was just getting used to 4.5 Any help is appreciated.
  5. Ive got the newest version of snomone (v. 5.0.9) with three extensions registered. My problem is that when I call out, my side does not ring, but the other side does. Then when the call is answered there is no audio from either side. I can call in and it rings on both sides, but no audio when answered. I did a pcap and there are RTP streams. I could even decode the .pcap and hear the audio that was not present during the call. The call flow looks good and rtp is streaming both ways. Ive attached a pic of the call flow. Thanks Sudo
  6. Its not too late for the hidden setting as this is a test domain and I still need to migrate several domains off. Could you elaborate a little more on the hidden setting? Also. I reverted the cname back to the old pbx. Registered the snom360 to the old pbx. Changed the cname to point to the new pbx. On the old pbx, I went to the WebUI's Accounts page and selected the extensions to reboot. I assume this is what you mean by reboot the phone remotely. In any case, it did not work. It connected to the old pbx again.
  7. I switched the CNAME to point back to the old server and registered a Polycom to the domain. I then changed the CNAME to point to the new server and rebooted the polycom. It worked like a charm. It grabbed the new firmware and registered to the new system. Whats the deal with the Snom phones?
  8. How do you suggest I make the registration fail on the old server? I tried clearing that extensions registration, but it just connected again. I bit the bullet and deleted the account off the old box, thinking the registration would fail and indeed it did. The phone now sits unregistered. I have power cycled the phone. The following has been verified via packet capture: There is no traffic from the phone to the new pbx. There are registration requests going to the old box and getting 404 not found back.
  9. I just tested this. I connected a Snom360 to the old pbxnsip box and exported the domain to the new snomone pbx. I changed the CNAME to point to the new server and waited to the TTL to expire. The phone is still connecting to the old pbx despite the DNS change. I imagine this is because the config stored on the phone is pointing to the old pbx. How do I fix this? I really want to get around re provisioning the phones.
  10. Im migrating our customers off an old pbxnsip box onto the latest snomone release. I have followed the export domain instructions here: http://wiki.pbxnsip.com/index.php?title=Exporting_a_Domain When I imported the .tar everything went well. All info transferred over like cell phone numbers, and even the trunks info. Im wondering, what else is there that must be taken into account for the transition to be seamless. I want to be able to modify the CNAME record (pbx-domain.com) to point to the new server and have it connect. What all needs to take place for this to happen? Will the export of the domain take care of everything? Are there more modification or data that needs to be pulled over from the old system? Thanks in advance, Sudo
  11. I found the issue. I recently changed the IP addr of the pbx and the service restart voided the license. Im reaching out to have this license updated with the new IP.
  12. Ive got a new install of ver 5.0.9. Im having issues getting the phones to connect. In a packet capture I noticed that all the sip REGISTER requests were coming from the phone and none back from the pbx. I modified iptables manually to open port 5060 by coping over the rules from a ver 4.5.X snomone box. This worked for a while until I restarted the snomone service. Now im unable to get my soft phone and snom370 to connect, even with the same iptables rules in place. I turned iptables off and tried registering and was unsuccessful. Apparently, iptables is not the issue. However, In the installation wiki ( http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Installations ) it states, "Please note that you will might have to configure your firewall (iptables). On CentOS6.3 we needed to change the iptables setup;" This is on a centos box. I do not see where in that article it mentions these modifications. Ive scoured the web interface and did not find anything that would enable the system to respond. Again - The sip registrations are coming through from the phone, but there is no response from the snomone server. Please help
  13. I restarted the service 3 days ago (Monday). The cust just got back and said that are still receiving call backs. She said it took 10 minutes for the system to call her back. The system calls back the same cell that calls in. The CallerID on the callback displays the ANI info of the extension. They say its not consistent, but sporadic. How do these callbacks get setup in the first place? Any more thoughts/suggestions?
  14. And that is what you meant right? Restarting the pbxnsip service and not necessarily a hard reboot of the system?
  15. Interesting. I restarted the pbxnsip service Monday because we were having issues with the system. Ill see if they have had issues since then.
  16. Heres a list of directories in my working directory: accesslist acds adrbook attendants audio_en audio_moh button_lists buttons callingcards cdr cdre cdri cdrt certificates colines conferences dial_plan dial_plan_entry domain_alias domains email_templates extensions generated holding hoots html hunts ivrnodes login messages mohs nfs_recordings (Directory created for call recordings) pnp_parms recordings registrations schedules spool srvflags tftp user_alias users wipers
  17. I assume this would be in the Snom working directory /usr/local/pbxnsip There is no directory "autocallbacks". Would it be a sub directory?
  18. I just deployed a new domain and they are using Polycoms and Snom870's. My problem is with the 870 not displaying the Message Waiting Indicator. Under the Account's Mailbox settings "Send message waiting indication:" is set to yes but its still not working. Anyone see this before? Im running version 4.5
  19. Im having a strange issue. Here's the scoup: The customer calls into the system from their cell phone and navigates through the system (AA>HG>Ext>VM). After they hangup, they receive a callback from the system. Whats stranger still is that most of the extensions have no cell phone number associated so the system would not recognize them. This is on an old pbxnsip box ver 4.0.1.3499. They are on Polycoms too I believe. If I remember correctly there is a setting in the voicemail box thats something to the effect of "To receive a call back, press ..." Maybe this is set or acting screwy? I could not find where to modify this setting on the webui Perhaps this is a known bug that has been fixed with an update? The cust says this just started recently. After they were setting call forwarding with the star code.
  20. When I call into the system (AA) with an associated Cell number I get the special prompt to place an outbound call, check voicemail etc. When I place an outbound call it displays the number of the cell phone and not the ANI set in the extensions general settings. Obviously, we want it to display the business number associated with the pbx and not personal cell phone number. Ive looked around the domain and extensions settings and do not see where to modify this. Any advice? Sudo
  21. Looks like Im on ver. 4.5 my snom_3xx_fkeys.xml in the ///generated/pbx/ directory <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <functionKeys> <fkey idx="0" context="active" perm="RW">line</fkey> <fkey idx="1" context="active" perm="RW">line</fkey> <fkey idx="2" context="active" perm="RW">button 3</fkey> <fkey idx="3" context="active" perm="RW">line</fkey> <fkey idx="11" context="active" perm="RW">button 12</fkey> </functionKeys> I find it interesting that they match up except the last button. There are 6 buttons on the 300 and only 5 buttons specified above. Thoughts?
