    webRTC

Make sure your using ver 5.0.10h and you have to buy the WebRTC $299.00 option. "WebRTC (click to call) WebRTC for click to call from the browser USD 299.00 "

    5.0.10

    see post #3 - they have a fix http://forum.snomone.com/index.php?/topic/6861-unsupported-media/
  4. haha....I think it's identical.
  5. Does your license have it? Automatic Recording License for automatic recording of inbound and outbound calls USD 995.00
  6. Put an 8 in front of the extension number. So if you currently had it set to extension 227 make it 8227 The 8 tells the system to just send the call to voicemail without ringing the phone. Just make sure under Domain Settings you have this field set: "Mailbox Direct Dial Prefix: 8 "
  7. Add this setting to your snom_3xx_phone.xml file: <cw_dialtone perm="RW">off</cw_dialtone> Now when you press the hold button it puts the caller on hold like it always did but it doesn't play the dial tone in your handset or speaker. We also add this setting: <holding_reminder perm="RW">off</holding_reminder> This turns off the beep reminder letting you know you still have somebody on hold. After making those changes restart your Snom phone so it can do it's PnP to take in those 2 new settings. We PnP all our Snom phones with those settings.
  8. Maybe try... admin 0000 or admin 1234 It should be what ever you set under Domain settings: Authentication user: Authentication password:
  9. Maybe try this. Under each extension: "Include local extensions in the phone address book" set it to No If you want the local extensions/system accounts in the directory just add them to the Domain address book as a regular entry - I haven't done this but I think it will solve your problem for "I have a customer that just wants alphabetical". Let us know if it worked.
  10. A couple options. 1. Create an extension with mailbox enabled (record your message), set the Maximum number of messages allowed to 0 (so it doesn't record any voice mail messages). Don't have any phone/device registered to this extension/mailbox (so when the caller calls it the greeting/message will play right away instead of the caller hearing X rings) 2. Create an auto attendant - under IVR - record default welcome message, Turn off these options: - "Please enter the extension number" - "For our dial by name directory, press..." - "Or remain on the line for general assistance", Under Edit - "Wait before answering the call (secs):" - set to 1 if you don't want the caller to hear a ring - "Timeout (s):" - set to 0 - "Direct Destinations:" - don't put anything in here
  11. ndemou, are you running PBX 32 bit or 64 bit version?

  13. What I mean by push something out to the phone is if you change a button/LED in the pbx web interface for a phone it then has to send that config change to the snom 710 = push. or even just changing the persons name for the extension you will see the name change on your snom 710 display. Since you didn't have the same problem as I did and your using ver 4.5.1 which was put out by Vodia/Snom and I'm using ver 4.5.0.1090 with same snom 710 phone but I do get the SW Update failed message tells me I think Vodia/Snom put something in their snom 710 ver 8.7.3.15 and 8.7.3.19 firmware that can tell I'm using ver 4.5.0.1090 and they display that error message....why? because they want you to move to ver 5...this is just my opinion. My snom 710 out of the box running firmware ver 8.7.3.8 did the PnP with no problems and no SW Update failed message....soon as I upgrade firmware to .15 or .19 I get the SW Update: Failed message on the snom 710 display. My snom 720 running firmware ver 8.7.3.19 doesn't get this error and I'm using ver 4.5.0.1090. MR X writes: "The firmware for 7xx series has some new mechanism that double check the version to make sure everything is legit. should not be a show stopper" Check the version of what? Make sure what is legit? My snom 710 is legit and my $15,000.00 snomone pbx ver 4.5.0.1090 license is legit.
  14. By default the html folder is not created on new installs, you have to create the html directory, the same with the tftp directory.
  15. Carlos, you can clear the message and keep on making calls but if you push something to the phone where it needs to reboot then it will also download the 8.7.3.19 firmware again....even if the firmware on the phone is already at 8.7.3.19. Maybe with your PBX ver 4.5.1 you might not run into this, snomone said with his snom 710 and PBX ver 5 he doesn't get this error message Let us know if you get that error message on your ver 4.5.1 (that ver was put out by Vodia). I don't think you will get the error message.
  16. The phone was new out of the box with factory firmware 8.7.3.8. I haven't tried factory reset yet. I added custom setting to my snom_720_custom.xml file so it doesn't write the *78 or *79 to the phone. Now my DND works like yours...press it and DND turns on and it doesn't even try to make call in PBX - the way it's supose to work. From the PBX I can turn it on/off and it sends it to the 720 and also works.
  17. Here's something odd. In the SNOM 720's internal web page under Seup/Preferences you can see a heading DND: with On Code: *78 and Off Code: *79 I removed the *78 and *79, clicked apply so the phone takes the change. Now the DND works like yours...press DND and it sets it as active in the display and doesn't even show any active call, press it again to turn off the DND and again it works and doesn't show any active calls. I know when I do PnP again the *78/*79 will get put back in, I will try to add custom DND settings for the snom 720 phone as a temp solution. Not sure why your snom 720 running same firmware doesn't have this problem?
  18. When I use the PBX web interface to set DND on/off it does send it to the snom 720 and the phone does take the setting but in the active calls display I can see my extension with active call *78....even when using the web interface to set the DND on/off. Same result when doing it from the snom 720 - shows active call *78 or *79 ....call hangs for about a minute before PBX kills the hung call. Downgrade to firmware 8.7.3.15 and when I press the DND button I hear "DND has been activated" over my snom 720 speaker and in the active calls it's not hung...the call ends. With my snom 870 it has the same effect as your test - press DND and it doesn't show any call - it just turns on or off the DND.
  19. Hi, Just picked up a new SNOM 720. Did the PNP - all works fine. I notice when you press the DND key it displays DND Active which is fine and on the PBX I can see the account is now set to DND but in the active calls I see my extension the snom 720 has an active call to *78 which is the code to activate DND....it just sits there for about 30 or so seconds and then the PBX kills the call and emails me a "...has been disconnected because media session was not established (source=snom720 phone ip:45730)." Same when you press the DND again to deactivate it I can see the *79 call hang. My SNOM 720 firmware is 8.7.3.19 When I downgrade to firmware 8.7.3.15 and press my DND key the PBX plays over my speaker "DND has been activated" and the call doesn't hang in the active calls screen. Is there a setting that I have to change in the 8.7.3.19 so the DND wont have the call hang in the PBX? My snom 870 doesn't play the audio "DND has been activated" when I press the DND key and the call doesn't hang - so it works fine with no audio being played for my 870. Thanks,
  20. Hi Snom ONE, I understand ver 5 has a few new neat features like the xml-rpc(pretty cool feature), button provisioning based on type of phone, etc but my post is not about why don't I have these features in ver 4.5. The new ver 5 will be great for my next server but my current server running ver 4.5 I have spent $15,000.00 just on the software license. Once my ver 4.5 server maxes out then my second server will be a ver 5 server. Back to my problem.... The PnP for my snom 710 and ver 4.5 worked but on my snom 710 I get that 1 line msg at the top SW-Update failed (but it really didn't fail) so I clear it and my phone is fine....all PnP is there. My post is how do I fix that problem? Has anyone seen that before and if so where in the snom 710 is the setting? You mention "...and the bottom line is: Of course they work in 4.5, but you better manually configure them", this is why I posted in this forum asking for your help or anyone's help. - to get rid of that message "SW-Update Failed" do I manually have to add a line or set a special setting to the: A) pnp.xml file B snom_3xx_fs.xml file C) snom_710.xml D) snom_3xx_fw.xml or do I have to create a custom snom_710_custom.xml and add something specfic to it? Or maybe I have to manually go inside the snom 710 PUI and set something? I don't know the answer this is why I'm asking for help. Thanks
  21. Not sure what your getting at? I know the PBX interface didn't have the 710 and that's why snom posted the "How to add the 710"....I did that part so my ver 4.5.0.1090 has the 710. ver 5 came out in Nov 2012 but the 710's were available Aug 2012. Even PBX Support posts in this forum Sept 4th, 2012 showing what files need to be updated in the PBX: http://forum.snomone.com/index.php?/topic/6278-snom-710/ The SNOM 720 and 760 are in ver 4.5. There shouldn't be any difference for snom 710. My 710 PnP works but the phone thinks the firmware/SW-update failed....you can clear that message and use the phone and it 100% works but if you reboot the phone or push a config change to the 710 it takes it but at the same time the phone tries to update firmware again. Are you saying you 100% know it won't work with ver 4.5.0.1090? If so please tell me why it wont work? Has anyone else used the snom 710 with ver 4.5.0.1090?
  22. Hi, Using ver 4.5.0.1090 linux Just picked up a new SNOM 710 to test. I followed the "How to add autoprovisioning support for snom 710 in snom ONE" from the snomone wiki so now my ver 4.5.0.1090 can do PnP for the new SNOM 710 phones. The PBX is in a datacentre so I setup the snom 710 for WAN PnP. I've done many SNOM 3xx series and 870 PnP phones on same system with no problems. The snom 710 does all the PnP and downloads the new firmware ver 8.7.3.19. During the firmware update all of the snom 710 display messages show 100%...shows successful update. The phone reboots after the successful firmware update....the extension name gets displayed...the top line shows "Provisioning in progress..." then top line shows SW-Update Failed and the Info button is flashing...I press on the Info button and it displays SW-Update failed do you want to retry/redo....I select cancel. My SNOM 710 looks fine...extension name and all functions work...make/receive calls....in the PBX change call forwarding number and it pushes it to the 710 so I know the PnP worked and it's talking to the PBX. When I program the 5 buttons in the PBX it pushes it to the 710 and they take effect but it also makes the 710 think it has to do an update so it reboots and does the downloading of the firmware again even though it's the same ver 8.7.3.19 that is in the PBX PnP page. It's almost like the 710 internally thinks it failed the software update because it didn't get an ok from the PBX maybe? So it keeps the failed to update flag turned to yes internally? Any idea how to solve this problem? The snom 710 log even shows it was successful: 1/1/2000 00:01:00 [NOTICE] PHN: Last provisioning was successful, thus stop here! 1/1/2000 00:01:00 [NOTICE] PHN: Go to wizzard if all settings have been 23. I've heard thse guys are good http://www.colocationguard.com/
  24. This also happens with my ver 4.5.0.1090 - the call is actually not alive, it's just the web interface shows it's still active but it's really not = bug. If you don't restart the PBX you will see it will clean it's self up and it does get removed from the list of active calls.
