  1. Scenario: I have a client that has several businesses with multiple DIDs coming into a single customer care center. I have set up several hunt groups (the volume of calls dont warrant a agent group) that display the name of the hunt group and the DID that is calling. When the inbound call comes in it works great because the agents can brand the greeting based on the hunt group name being displayed on their phones (Snom 821s). Question: As i said this all works as planned until a call is transferred internally. At that point the only information being transferred with the call internally is the DID and not the group name of the Hunt Group. Occasionally they transfer calls to other users for back up or level 2 support. When this happens the internal people have no idea which business customer is calling? Is there a setting I am missing or is this a bug? Thank you!
  2. SNOM 821 (8.7.3.10) is there a way to change the line color for calls that have been put on hold? Explanation: -when a user is on a active call the line light indicator is a solid green. -when a user puts a call on hold the line light indicator is a flashing green -when a caller has someone on hold (flashing green), talking with someone (solid green) and then if they receive another incoming call the line indicator is a faster flashing green. Too many green lights! Is there anyway to change a setting of a particular line in the 821 when a calls gets place on hold? Say changing to red. it would make it SO much easier to distinguish one call from another. Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for your help Ted
  3. I have used multiple firmware rev from 8.4.35 to the latest 8.7.3.19 on the 821s and get same results. I am currently using 8.7.3.10. So changing firmware doesn't seem to work to resolve the issue.
  4. Hello- I think this is a simple question/fix. I have a client with 20 snom 821s. They are on Firmware ver 8.7.3.10. When A (caller) calls B (callee), the display shows callers name and ext # but not the callee name, only shows ext #. This is an ext to ext call. My client wants the name and the ext to appear on the display when calling internally. I have the checked the web interface and under Preferences i have the "Number Display Style" set for "name number" for all extensions. In addition, all user Identities have first and last name in the Displayname field. Is this a firmware issue or am I just missing sometime simple. Thanks in advance for your help!
