  1. I added the supplied Action URL's to the DND Action URL's and it works with the DND button.... Thanks!

Now is there anyway to change make this setting the default for all phones and push it down to the phones via pbxnsip or do we have to log into each phone and make this change?

    TIA

    -Adam

You can provision it for the DND action urls settings.

    action_dnd_on_url!:

    action_dnd_off_url!:

  2. We are running pbxnsip v4 and using Snom 360 phones. Paging is working in multicast mode just fine but some users want to block pages due to being on another phone or don't want it to be on their phone just temporarily (so I don't want to configure their phones to never page). I have tried turning DND on but the paging still goes through.

Also on a side note the only way we have been able to turn the volume down for the paging is to turn the speakerphone volume all the way down but when you want to use the speakerphone you have to turn the volume back up and then back down to turn the paging down again. Any work around on this one?

    TIA

You can configure an action URL for turning the paging setting off on a function button.

Eg. on the phone web page function keys, select a function key and set its type to Action URL from the drop down, then in its number field enter:

    http://127.0.0.1/dummy.htm?settings=save&a...cast_listen=off

and save it. When this key is pressed now, multicast will be turned off.

You can choose another key to set it back on by the action url:

    http://127.0.0.1/dummy.htm?settings=save&a...icast_listen=on

    and save it.

  3. hi there,

i am having troubles remote systems not recognizing the dial tones i press. i am calling for example ups and they don't recognize the options i press during the call.

the pbx seems to recognize these:

    [6] 20100403131036: Received DTMF 1

    - on my snom 870 i have `DTMF via SIP INFO: off`

    - domain trunk `Trunk requires out of band-DTMF tones: on`

    - pbx global settings `detect dtmf: on`

my outgoing dtmf tones are not recognized by example UPS.

doing the same call form my soft phone on the iphone works. seems my soft phone transfers the dial tones differently.

    [8] 20100403135136: Received INFO DTMF 2

    [6] 20100403135136: Received DTMF 2

    [7] 20100403135136: Received RFC4733 DTMF on codec 101

how could i fix this for the some phone?

    thanx

Would you give the version given below a try. It's for test only. If it works, we will add the solution to the next official release.

Are you using pbxnsip? I want to confirm that because we have tested it very well with pbxnsip and it works perfectly. I also dialled UPS (Germany) for the IVR system and it also worked. What phone version of snom870 are you using? Because recently in version 8.4.2 onwards we have increased the dtmf duration which could have been the problem. If you still have problems could you make some pcap traces on the phone as you use the dtmf in a call, save it and send it to us? It would also help if, for that trace, you turn off RTP encryption so we can see what you have pressed. You should also tell us what you have pressed in the call.

    Thanks.

  5. Could you please attach a pcap trace that would capture the packets. Make the call, start capturing, then mute the phone and after about 15 seconds stop capturing and attach the pcap trace. On mute no RTP packets go out but we do send keep alive packets every 5 seconds and we want to see if that still happens and are they being ignored by the PBX and is it broken (highly unlikely in all versions). Thanks.

  6. I just tested it and it worked perfectly for me. If its set to off then the pbx gives a busy message instead of doing call waiting (where you hear the knocking). First, are you changing the setting on the phone web page or are you sending it this setting through provisioning? If its the second case then please change it on the phone itself first and press save then test it again. Also are you talking about connected state OR when the phone is ringing and another call comes in.

  7. The speakerphone quality seems to be very bad on the Snom 360 using latest 7.1.28 firmware.

We ruled out trunks being an issue, as we are having the problem even when intercoming to other extensions.

It has alot of background noise, and sometimes an echo.

Its performance in noisy environmet may not be ideal. We are going to evaluate and tune the performance for the noisy environment soon.
