woelz1
I was hoping you could answer a question for me. I have a customer that currently has his cell number programmed into the CELL field on his extension form. When he calls, from this cell phone, to another extension on the system, he hears the canned “1 to receive a callback, 2 to leave a message, 3 to connect to the cell phone”. He wants to hear her personal message instead. We know it is his cell number being on his extension form causing this as we removed it for testing, and he hears her personal greeting. My question is, how can he leave his cell number programmed on his extension form but hear her personal greeting when calling her?
Vodia PBX
The system detects that it is one of the extensions calling into the system and plays that message. So you want that the call goes into the mailbox or should the call be treated just like from any other number?
Vodia support
If you navigate to features--->voice mail---> and disable "Offer camp on" the caller should be able to hear the user voice mail greeting, also you can turn off cell phone option "Offer calling cell phone when entering user's mailbox" on the same page. woelz1
The customer has stated that he wants to keep his cell phone programmed on HIS extension form (EXT 1) BUT he wants to hear the personal greeting when calling the OTHER extension (EXT 2) from his cell phone. Support
Unfortunately, that cannot happen by keeping the cell phone attached to the first extension as there is no need for that cell phone to hear anyone else's personal greetings and possibly change them if it is not a part of that ext.
