We have tested the pbxnsip with our voip platform.

We have configured the AA in order to recognizes the FAX and redirect it to account.

Now, the account is a sip Telephone (for test).... but not rings.

nothing ... not works.

Did you turn "inband detection" on (system settings)? See http://wiki.pbxnsip.com/index.php/Overall_...gs#SIP_Settings. You should see something like "[6] Received DTMF F" in the log file.

Hi,

I told my colleague Giorgio ( Gunny ) had already opened a topic for this problem.

He is still waiting for answers because it seems that does not work.

This feature is very important to choose the product and sell it to our customers. :-)

We did take a first look into it, but could not identify the problem. But it is not forgotten...

TOC TOC ... there is someone ?

Well, as said - the FAX recognition did work in our test environment. To me it looks more like a problem with the environment. Maybe the PSTN gateway does signal out of band, and then the PBX does not analyze FAX tones any more. Maybe try turning RFC2833 DTMF off on the gateway and tell the PBX to perform inband detection (admin/settings). And also set the codec preference to prefer ulaw, maybe there is a problem with alaw.

If that works we can find out what we can do to use the out of band-detection cabability of the gateway to save CPU power.
