Do we always need to put an explicit ALLOW local subnet?

 

or am i overlooking and doing something dumb? ;-)

Yes, you need to add it to "allow" list. PBX does not differentiate whether it is a local subnet or not.

okay, seems a little extra-secure, but thanks for the feedback.

 

Well usually when the PBX sends a 2xx code, it should reset the blacklist counter. Seems sometimes you have too many unanswered calls open. White listing definitevely solves the problem.
