PaulP
L.S I downloaded Snom One and licensed it for 10 extensions as snom ONE free. I tested the system and liked it so bough 4 M9 phones with the central DECT unit. Now I am trying to extend my IVR setup, but after 9 IVR existing entries I cannot create the 10th entry. It says: Create User: No more licenses. I only use one extension. It looks like it counts IVR entries also as extension.but with a total of 18 entries. e.g when I remove an extension I can add an IVR entry, but the max total of the two entry types is 18. Can you please advise. I want to extend my IVR setup and only use one extension. To my understanding this is within the constraints of the snom ONE free license. PaulP
I investigated a bit further and it looks like there is a maximum of 30 accounts. Can that be correct? I hope it is a bug in the system because the snom ONE free license should only count extension as mentioned in the license agreement. The snom ONE free is the reason that I bought the m9's for my home usage. Regards, Paul
mattlandis
snom One is a great product and the free product is a lot of value packed into free. It is a little ironic to note another limit of a product whose tag line is "no limits". ;-) (which incidentally i really like the line...) I don't have a problem with limits, i just wish we didn't need to find them ourselves...one by one. ;-) I'm curious what account limit is on the yellow and blue? I asked this question in the webinar today and got the vague answer there are none or are extremely high. ;-) But once again folks, snom one is a great value. matt

PaulP
That sounds great, because I like the product and is indeed great value, (also for home usage). How do we go from here? Do we need to download a new version that has the problem corrected? By the way, I am using the software on a Mac with OS X v10.6.4. mattlandis
Great 99999 should be fine. Thanks for that direct answer. Matt

PaulP
Here is the page. the problem is that the maximum number of IVR Nodes is 10. But this is mixed up with the maximum of the extensions. The maximum number of the IVR nodes should be 99999 (see trail above).. PaulP
Is more information required to answer this question? I procured snom hardware to be used with snom One free. If my perception was wrong about the snom One free possibilities, than please inform me so I can return the hardware in time. Thanks. pbx support
Hi PaulP, have you edited the domain and made sure your accounts were higher than 30? I set mine to 500... On the snom ONE free, the max users (accounts) is set to 30. So, if delete one of the IVR nodes or a service flag or some other account, then you can have 10th extension. PaulP
thanks for the replies. But the snom ONE free documentation only states a maximum of 10 extensions. That is the basis for me buying the hardware. Where suddenly the max on user (accounts) is coming from? And what is the reasoning behind it? It is not stated anywhere. Vodia PBX
Where suddenly the max on user (accounts) is coming from? And what is the reasoning behind it? I guess it was "reasonable" for the installations that snom was thinking about. For example, if someone wants to run a conferencing service, it would be "unreasonable" to run this service on a software that has not been paid for. PaulP
I agree and understand.. It is for limited home use only. That is my case and the reason that I invested in Snom hardware. Let me see if I get stuck with 2 extension and an extensive IVR setup including call-back facilities. If I reach the 30 limit I will let you know. I hope you can adjust the scheme somewhat to support home use, still protecting your own investments. Paul
