fahim Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 Hi, I have Snom one free version. I need to know how can I register the extensions using Meritline IP Phones? What is the IP that I have to use inorder to register it. Because I used my pc's IP but still it isn't registering. Which IP do I need to use to register the extensions. How can I find the IP address for registration? My Pc is not connected to domain. So what is the domain name that I have to use for registering? How can I find it in the Snom One portal? Please provide me the details for the above problem. Thanks Quote
pbx support Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 Note that snom ONE free does not allow non-snom phone registrations. You need to use snom ONE yesll or blue for that. Quote

Vodia PBX Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Note that snom ONE free does not allow non-snom phone registrations. You need to use snom ONE yesll or blue for that. Thats not 100 % correct. It allowed 5 "third party" registrations with a restricted feature set (e.g. no transfer). Quote
mattlandis Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 i spend considerable time explaining/correcting wrong views/etc about this. It would sure be nice if this artificial limitation could go away and we could get back to promoting snom benefits instead. ;-) Yes, snom ONE will allow a limited number of non snom devices as endpoints. Main limitations: no auto provision and no sip REFER(ie=transfer using phone button, but you CAN use *77[ext#]) The reason for this is to allow things like door phones, wifi sip phones, softphones, fxs etc that snom does not make and to accomodate non snom handsets that already exist in clients possesion till they can switch to snom.
