I am having trouble registering a snom m9 (not the softphone) on the pbxnsip cs410. I now get a message about a password being incorrect (was previously getting 404 not found), but cannot figure out what it is using to try to authenticate (and don't really understand why this is required for the m9 when it wasn't for the 300, 320, etc.). The latest registration log is below. Any help would be appreciated.

Just make sure that the SIP password on extension 11 is same as the one set on the "Password" field on m9's identity(you need to login to m9's web interface to set if you have to set it manually). If you used plug and play, then it should automatically register.

Thanks for the response - and sorry for not updating the post earlier. It was a problem with the passwords. (By the way, plug and play did not work.)

If you are running the CS410 locally, you need to put the MAC address of the M9 in the Bind to Mac field of the extension or extensions (if you have more than one handset) you want to register the M9. After that, got the the web interface of your M9 and under Network Settings set the ip address or the domain name of the CS410, save and reboot, once it is rebooted you should be able to see the Identity or Identities with the contact information of the extension or extensions.
