Snom 300 - service flag button

Under "Admin->Settings->PnP" page, there are special settings for snom 300 keys 3-6. You can cleanup these first depending on the requirement, i.e., you can take out the least important key setting there and make it available for the service flag button. Then you can create and assign a button profile (http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Buttons, http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Button_Programming) for that extension.

Ah, many thanks. I'd got it in my head that the Snom 300 couldn't be programmed with the button profiles.

I have the same problem (running 2011-4.5.0.1031 Beta Corona Austrinids), but your solution doesn't work for me. If I clean the PnP setting for key 3 and assign a button profile with key 3, the key 3 has no function at all.

I can only configure button 1 and 2 by button profiles... Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

There is no difference between those 2 versions with respect to buttons. Just make sure you have selected the right button number.

I have edited "Setting for snom 300 (button 3):" in the PnP settings and button number 3 in the button profile. After deleting the value "keyevent F_REDIAL" in the PnP settings, the button has no function anymore, even if the button profile is assigned.

Is there a restriction, that snom 300 buttons 3 - 6 can only be configured by PnP?

Or is there a way to configure a service flag button in the PnP settings?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Joachim

Seems like 300 is not that "straight-forward". But the "Web Page Control" always there for the resue :D

You will have to customize the snom_300_fkeys.xml file (using the method described here http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Modifying_Plug_and_Play_Files) for the buttons to work on snom 300.

{if_button 3 none}
 <fkey idx="2" context="active" perm="RW">{enum_button 3 button+3 private=line}</fkey>
{fi_button 3 none}
