dundee
I have a Snom One Plus running 2011-4.5.0.1050 Coma Berenicids. I am trying to updgrade to 4.5.0.1090 but it keeps telling me that "no updates are available" in the "update snom one plus" tab. Am I missing something? Is it possible to use this web interface to go from one 4.5 version to another? What about downgrading I don't see how I can do that with the web inteface. Thing are a little different than the wiki suggests...http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Snom_ONE_plus_update Any guidance would be appreciated. Vodia support
The snomONE plus update will update sangoma, the admin console and the snomONE software, we will have to redirect the snomONE update to the latest but today you can just update the pbx from the systemtab http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Software_Update#Important_Note You can copy paste http://downloads.snom.net/snomONE/version-4.5.0.1090.xml into the link under the software update section under system. you can check the log-file to see the process, you will then need to restart the snomONE service when the update is done. dundee
Thanks I have tried this but once the system reboots the version is still the old one? It successfully downloads the new version but does not apply it. I assume I have to "edit the /etc/init.d/snomONE to change the name of the binary (or the link) to pbxctrl instead of snomONE-ctrl" but how do I do that from the SNOM ONE PLUS web interface. Do I need to go the server room and hook up a monitor and keyboard to perform this upgade or is there something else I might be missing? Vodia support
You will need to ssh into the unit to change the binary under tc/init.d/snomONE or you can hook a monitor to the unit as well, send me PM and I will send you some information on how to ssh into the unit. Thanks
dundee
Thanks, I have hooked up a monitor but when I try to link the files I get a "permission denied" error. I am logging in using superadmin / snom1 - should I be using another login?
Vladlin
Hello, how to change the binary under tc/init.d/snomONE thru SSH.
Vodia PBX
That's not a binary, that's just ASCII. You can use vi to edit the file. That editor is a pain in the neck, but you have to change only a few characters so it should be fine. See http://ss64.com/vi.html for more information. If you prefer, just give us SSH access and we'll quickly do it for you.
