tobymac
Hi guys I have the following problem. I'm managing some 821's and 320's Snom phones connected to a computer running snomONE. I did the following test: I factory reseted one Snom 821 and now it's not auto provisioning. Can't figure out why. Thanks.
Vodia PBX
You can find some additional information on http://www.vodia.com/documentation/pnp_snom especially about the question how the phone is supposed to find the PBX. tobymac
Tried both DHCP and manually but failed. I've seen that in the manual method after the restart if I log in manually from the phone it works but doesn't get the settings..
Vodia PBX
Sometimes the phones need a factory reset to clean up some undefined settings that cause problems with the provisioning. If the phone is in the LAN and the MAC has been assigned to the extension (and it listens to sip.mcast.net) it should all happen automatically then. If the phone is outside the LAN, you need to set the address of the PBX in the phone settings, according to the document above.
tobymac
The phone was factory reset. The phone is inside LAN. It's also bind to the MAC. I haven't touched any settings. So this is what I did. I did a factory reset on a WORKING phone. It's one of my colleagues phone. I wanted to see if it will auto provision. But it's not. Vodia PBX
Can you check the generated folder on the PBX if that links was generated by the PBX? It should not. Actually all files should end with .xml, and usually the link is snom_3xx_fw.xml. Also check if you have any leftovers in webpages or html directories. Hi Vodia I've checked the "webpages" and "html" folders and emptied them. Still no success Any other ideas? Thanks!
Vodia PBX
We had a customer where removing the pnp parameters and the certificates solved the problem (and restart the system)--although I honestly don't know why that solved the problem.
