Recommended Posts

Does anybody have a copy of the Snom ONE SOHO software; I have been running V4.3 and need to update.

I have looked all over the web and cant find one.

I dont want to move to V5.XX as it require to purchase a new license.

I'm looking for the last stable release before V5.

Thanks in advance if you can help.

You can use the http://vodia.com/downloads/pbx/version-4.5.1.xml to upgrade to the last version that was made for version 4. I know on the SoHo is is not so simple, but do make a backup of the file system before attempting this update from SSH. From 4.3 to 4.5 is a big step, and you want to be sure it is not a one-way street.

Well AFAIR the Sheeva had a SSH login. Can you still use that? Then you can "cd /usr/local/snomONE" and then "tar cvfz backup.tgz ." und move it with sftp.

Do you want to backup the whole SoHo?! I would backup only the working directory of the PBX. All data in in that directory, nothing scattered around unless you tell the PBX to do so (like storing recordings externally)

On a SoHo?! Well that I remember there was a tar command that can do that--but far from being trivial. I think you can also do that with the JTAG cable, but check the sheevaplug information for that.
