kellenw Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 I ordered a white box CS410 last week and expect to receive it tomorrow. I imagine it will likely be the white box version. Did I make a mistake in buying this? It seems the white box units are unable to take the latest firmware flashes. Does that mean I am out of luck in terms of bug fixes and feature updates? Due the reviews I had recently read, I felt the CS410 would make a reliable pbx unit (paired with Snom 360's) for one of my branch offices with 2-4 users and 4 POTS lines. Phone calls are our lifeblood in our branch offices. We are in a highly competitive and time sensitive business. Issues with unanswered calls can literally destroy our business. Was it a mistake to assume this unit would be a suitable solution, especially if I end up with a white box? Thanks for any input! Quote
Vodia PBX Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 You should receive a black one. They use a new SoC chip which was a major step regarding stability. If you receive a white one tell us and we'll take care about this. All new devices sold should be black. Quote
andrewgroup Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 Phone calls are our lifeblood in our branch offices. We are in a highly competitive and time sensitive business. We've deployed several of the new CS410's since late January and they have been very reliable. Limit your logging unless you experience a problem. we upgraded them all to the latest 3.x 20 days ago and all continued to be stable just as before. All 4 ports are used on each. Quote
