Thanks. valerio Regaring the address book: Did you change the user, the domain or the password? If yes, you need to re-provision the phone. The second language requires the appropriate lang_xx.xml files from snom in the tftp directory. Quote
Valerio Posted May 27, 2008 Author Report Posted May 27, 2008 I have reset the phone to factory defaults and reprovisoined them, I have even tried to install the pbx on a new clean machine but the phone always get the first 9 entry of the address book but not the remaining. About the language issue, the lang files are in place and the phones load them, but I need to select and use the Italian when the phone gets provisoned and not have the phone proviosned with other langages but still defaulting to english. thanks Quote

Did you try to enter a key? Maybe you are in the interactive mode where you have to enter a key to drill deeper into the address book (e.g. 2 means ABC). About the language issue, the lang files are in place and the phones load them, but I need to select and use the Italian when the phone gets provisoned and not have the phone proviosned with other langages but still defaulting to english. We need to take a look at this here. Maybe the problem is with Italian language, not so much mainsteam on a global perspective... Quote
Valerio Posted June 17, 2008 Author Report Posted June 17, 2008 I am still having problems with the address book. It only displays the first 9 entries out of 20. I have even tried upgrading phones to 7.1.33 It have made a trace and it is the PBX that generates an incorrect XML reply to the phone request. I have attached the network trace and its ascii equivalent. Because there could be thousands, there is a limit. The point is here that you need to "drill down" by entering more digits. For example, if you search "Valerio", you would enter <Adressbook>, 8 (TUV), 2 (ABC), 5 (JKL) than then usually the list should be short enough that you can use the arrow keys to select the right entry. Vodia PBX Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 snom 360 You should really use PnP, at least for the initial config. The address book requires that you calculate a hash over the username and the password, and that is really difficult if you want to do it one your own. Quote

You still need to use the user's individual hash - all users share the address book of the domain. not sure what the problem is here. Maybe just import the address book again (through CSV), maybe some during an upgrade something went wrong. Quote
