russelln
I have been trying for 4 days to make an outgoing call using Broadvox, I can call in on the trunk and talk all day long, or at least till the call timeout... we are trying to use the outbound proxy feature of the trunk and have entered the BTN's as required, the password and the ip of the Broadvox proxy.... when the out bound call is made and the invite is sent to Broadvox, they receive the ip of the requesting system at the top of the header.. to "to" number@broadvox going to broadvox and the "from" number@localhost which results in a not found being sent back as they dont know where call comes from...because "localhost" in not a DNS registered name INVITE sip:5131178@209.249.3.59;user=phone SIP/2.0 Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 70.133.128.89:5060;branch=z9hG4bK-995d06bbc94b9c8a65ef5c0163d5f37a;rport From: "Jan " <sip:203@localhost>;tag=33619 needs to be changed to local ip To: <sip:5131178@209.249.3.59;user=phone> Call-ID: 08a28c96@pbx CSeq: 2964 INVITE Max-Forwards: 70 Contact: <sip:3257540307@70.133.128.89:5060;transport=udp> Supported: 100rel, replaces, norefersub Allow-Events: refer Allow: INVITE, ACK, CANCEL, BYE, REFER, PRACK, INFO, UPDATE Accept: application/sdp User-Agent: pbxnsip-PBX/2.1.10.2474 Remote-Party-ID: "Jan " <sip:3257540307@localhost>;party=calling;screen=yes needs to be changed to local ip Content-Type: application/sdp Content-Length: 290 they say they need in the "from" number@ip of the localhost, well I tried using the sip gateway feature and when I do that, here is what happens the invite will send the in the "to" number@ip of the localhost and the invite will send the in the "from" number@ip of the localhost..... INVITE sip:5131178@70.133.128.89;user=phone SIP/2.0 is changed by using domain feild Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 70.133.128.89:5060;branch=z9hG4bK-4594ab1539d2d440733694536874af3b;rport From: "3257540307" <sip:3257540307@70.133.128.89>;tag=42537 To: <sip:5131178@70.133.128.89;user=phone> is changed by using domain feild Call-ID: cdc25730@pbx CSeq: 26827 INVITE Max-Forwards: 70 Contact: <sip:3257540307@70.133.128.89:5060;transport=udp> Supported: 100rel, replaces, norefersub Allow-Events: refer Allow: INVITE, ACK, CANCEL, BYE, REFER, PRACK, INFO, UPDATE Accept: application/sdp User-Agent: pbxnsip-PBX/2.1.10.2474 Remote-Party-ID: "Jan " <sip:3257540307@70.133.128.89>;party=calling;screen=yes Content-Type: application/sdp Content-Length: 292 seems like if I put the ip of the localhost in the domain feild of the sip gateway of the trunk it should only change the "from" feild and that the "to" feild should be determined by the outbound proxy...feild of the trunk why does the domain change both the "to" and "from" feilds when using the Sip Gateway feature of the Trunk setup? russell
Vodia PBX
What I would suggest in this case is to change the primary name of the domain to something useful (maybe even the IP address) and move the "localhost" to the alias name. Then the PBX will present the primary name to the outside world. But if you put the domain name into the trunk, then it should also put that name there - however that depends on the RFC3325 mode. Maybe also worth a quick try.
