AudioCodes Mediant 1000 - Source Number is not provided to PSTN

Hi,

we use an AudioCodes Mediant 1000 BRI with pbxnsip (snom, MS OCS 2007, MS Exchange 2007).

When using redirection (via Office Communicator) to external numbers and the caller is an external, the endpoint will show our main-number (-0) instead of the original source number.

In the ACsyslog you can see that it receives everything fine, but in the setup to PSTN it only sets DstPN correctly:

#8:SETUP (TO:+4917997cell1, FROM:+4917997cell2):(331b4bba@pbx)

#8:Call changing states from:NewCallState_IP2Tel to:InitiatedState_IP2Tel

#31:SETUP : (331b4bba@pbx)

pstn send --> PlaceCall: Trunk:0 BChannel:2 ConnID:0 SrcPN= SrcSN= DstPN=004917997cell1 DstSN= SrcNT=0 SrcNP=0 SrcPres=0 SrcScrn=0 DstNT=0 DstNP=0 ServiceCap=M RdrctNum=59 RdNT=0 RdNP=0 RdPres=0 RdScrn=0 RdRsn=15 Excl=1 Display= IE= UUIE=0,, CLIRReason:-1 OrigPN= OLI=-1

I guess the SrcPN must be provided to the PSTN too. It is during a normal call. Does anybody know, how I can configure this in the Mediant 1000?

If this is possible that implies an option to present any source number to PSTN, even the one you don't own, including emergency numbers. I'm right, am I not?

btw. the number 59 under RdrctNum=59 is the one we use in the trunk for the OCS Mediation Server. Setting "Assume that all calls come from user:"

Best regards,

Jan

I thought it got it from the endpoint phone number setting. Also in the ip to tel routing table you can do some manipulation there. I think the AC also supports preferred Identity and the pbxnsip can set that on the trunk. Usually the PSTN service provider will put the correct from header on automatically to avoid any fictional caller ID in the switch. ITSP's is a different story!

The "Assume that all calls come from user" was a workaround to get things working at all - the Caller-ID presentation had lower priority. But maybe there is a way to configure the PSTN gateway to use the From-header for rendering the Caller-ID.
