Does your activation code start with 5 (5XX-XXX-XXX-XXX)? You can get a code from snomone.com, also for free. The version 4 codes don't work with version 5.
my v5 code does, yes. i never had a code for v4 - you just selected to activate it and got a free licence automatically. i didnt think to write down the number...

it runs fine, i just cant activate it. Why not? i had 4.5 before, then i installed 5. why can't i reinstall 4.5?
-
If you are running a version 4 free on a snom ONE mini, you can also upgrade with a discount to version 5. The MAC address of the device serves as coupon code in that case--the license will be bound fixed to that MAC.
i'm not. it's a raspberry pi - it's just my house! i can't seem to get it activated with 4.5.1. How do i do that?
-
I believe that you first need to test if your current license is eligible for an upgrade to version 4.5.1, here: https://snomone.com/upgradev4
Otherwise, you need to first register & go through the checkout process to obtain a license to v5, here: https://www.snomone.com/versions
the link you sent is for purchased licences. snomone 4.5 included a free 10 user licence for home users. that's the one i'm trying to use. IIRC, no licence key is issued for free licences.

I've been trying to find the ARM builds of snomONE 4.5 to install on a raspberry pi. I can't get it activated for the "free" licence. Do you know where i can find them? i know the snomONE mini requires an ARM build thought i found it here: http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Updates with this file: http://snomone.com/downloads/snomONE/mini/pbxctrl-mini-4.5.1.1107 but i can't seem to activate it. Am i doing something wrong?

I found a pretty easy way to get this installed on 64bit Ubuntu, so i thought i'd share:
1. Download the Deb from the wiki e.g. on thsi page http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Installers_(Release_4.5):
wget http://downloads.snom.net/snomONE/debian/v4.5/snomone_4.5.0.1075-i386.deb
2. Unpack it:
mkdir snomone dpkg -x snomone_4.5.0.1075-i386.deb ./snomone
3. Copy the app to the install dir
sudo mkdir /usr/local/snomONE sudo cp ./snomone/usr/local/snomONE /usr/local/snomONE sudo chown -r root:root /usr/local/snomONE
4. Install the startup script:
sudo cp ./snomone/etc/init.d/snomONE /etc/init.d/snomONE sudo chmod +x /etc/init.d/snomONE sudo update-rc.d snomONE defaults
5. get find the latest update from the wiki e.g. http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Upgrades_(Release_4.5), and download the Centos64 bit binary e.g.
wget http://downloads.snom.net/snomONE/centos64/v4.5/pbxctrl-centos5-4.5.0.1090
6. rename, change the owner of the files + make the main file executable:
cp pbxctrl-centos5-4.5.0.1090 /usr/local/snomONE/pxbctrl sudo chown root:root /usr/local/snomONE/pxbctrl sudo chmod +x /usr/local/snomONE/pxbctrl
7. Start service:
sudo service snomONE start
and hey presto! you should be able to browse to your server on port 80!
You can repeat steps 5 and 6 to upgrade (stop the service first). Don't use the updater built in to the product as this will download the 32bit version.

i kinda wish i hadnt uninstalled it all now. annoying. 5 extensions isnt enough here at home - 3 in bedrooms, 1 in the lounge, 1 in the kitchen, 1 in the study, 1 in the garage/workshop etc.
