  1. I get this way with Chrome, Safari and IE, well with Chrome I get WebRTP working. So it is kind of universal. And it is still this way with 5.2.2. The very disturbing problem is that the user can hardly see the Home | Help | Logout link on top right. Hope you have it fixed very soon.

    Regards,

  2. Hello!

I set the logos and custom banners all over, but I get this on WAC. Could you tell me what is going on?

  3. Hello!

I have been working on the configuration migration from CentOS to Vodia mini PBX. And finally managed to get all the configuration copied over, I think I did it right. But when I hooked one Snom870 with PnP provisioning, it registers, but all the call out will be rejected with the log entry below.

[2] 19:04:51.388	GENE:	Port 3: Reject call because of too many calls in domain

The phone says "Service Unavailable" though all trunks are registered for calling out and in. What seems to be the problem here? It has only one phone registered to the PBX, and it is licensed to 10 extensions.

    Thanks.

  4. Hello!

After updating snomONE to 5.1.3, the PnP provisioned snom870s stopped making a ringtone sound when receiving calls. When I checked Preference settings I find the ringtone provisioned properly. The phone lights and display indicates properly, the phone just does not make any noise when called. Please help.

    Thanks.

  5. Yes, the dialplans.xml contains it all. You can use it definitively as a starting point.

The discussion when the phone should start robot-dialing is as old the SIP standard; the standard simply does not support it and all we are doing is tinkering. This is like having your cell phone dial automatically. And every device does it differently, you can see that in the dialplan.xml. What works best is telling users to take a look at their cell phone and get over it (sorry)...

Hmm... We have been using the +[number] notation for almost all the electronic phone book just to unify and simplify matters. So some users are used to omit the preceding + for domestic numbers when typing, others place the 0 instead of + for every calls. So these kind of changes without explicitly mentioned in the release note potentially cause big hustle. We have configured the PBX Dial Plan to correspond the user input and select the trunk accordingly.

Anyway, the issue has been resolved for now.

  6. Oh, yes something has changed. The dial plan also send the call in a "more" canonical format to the PBX. This is because of call redial and the address book. The numbers in the address book are presented without the leading 1 (which makes sense, especially in the age of cell phones), so it is easier to send the number always in the 10-digit format to the PBX. Then the dialplan does not have to deal with a mix of 10- and 11-digit numbers.

Well, what I am looking for is a way to stop snom phones from stripping the 1 in the 11 digit user input. Are you telling me that the new version 5.1.x os snomONE pbx does not have such capability?

  7. If you want automatic dialing you need a number in the front. We choose 1, other manufacturers choose 9 (which makes it hard to dial 911). If you don't have the number in from and you have e.g. have an extension 417, how would the PBX otherwise know if you want to dial 417 or 4171234567?

Well, then why is this change at this time from 5.0.x to 5.1.x in provisioning? Also, why the phone have to be provisioned to remove the first digit of user input, anyway? I would like to know what I have to do to stop the phone from eliminating the first digit before forwarding the inquiry to snomONE. We have our dial plan that is heavily relying on the phones not cutting out user input.

    Thanks.

  8. [/size]

In the accounts or extensions view, you can select the accounts with the check boxes on the left and then "open accounts for MAC-based provisioning" in the select box on the bottom right. Then they can be provisioned without password for the next 10 minutes.

So is this something I should be doing? I do not remember this option being there before.

However doing the mentioned process does not make any difference, though.

I am suspecting something has been changed for PnP Provisioning between 5.0.9 to 5.0.10 and 5.0.10a. Or is it the snom870 firmware 8.7.3.15 to8.7.3.19?

    Thanks.

  9. I guess you have entered the MAC address into one of the extensions MAC? Also, did you open then extension for provisioning (from the account overview, drop-down on the bottom right)?

Do you still have any files on the html folder or web page modifications (check the webpages folder)?

Yes, I have assigned a MAC address to each of the extension account.

"did you open then extension for provisioning (from the account overview, drop-down on the bottom right)? "

I am not familiar with this, could you explain further?

For the html folder, do you mean if I have a "html" folder in /usr/local/snomONE ? I do not have the folder named "html" there.

Hope this helps you help me. Thanks.

  10. Hello!

I have not seen this ones with MAC address suffixed before. It was working fine until I have got 5.0.10. What do I need to do to address this issue?

    Thank you.

  11. There are 2 ways to do this,

    1. you can type the following URL on your browser

    http://your phones IP/dummy.htm?settings=save&idle_icon_01=-1&idle_icon_02=-1&idle_icon_03=-1&idle_icon_04=-1&idle_icon_05=20&idle_icon_06=-1&idle_icon_07=-1&idle_icon_08=-1&idle_icon_09=-1&idle_icon_10=9&idle_icon_11=-1&idle_icon_12=-1&idle_icon_13=-1&idle_icon_14=-1&idle_icon_15=5

    2. copy paste this string into the customize section----->Template--->pnp----> snom_3xx_phone.xml you will have to be in admin mode, save and reboot the phone.

    <idle_icon_01 perm="RW">-1</idle_icon_01>

    <idle_icon_02 perm="RW">-1</idle_icon_02>

    <idle_icon_03 perm="RW">-1</idle_icon_03>

    <idle_icon_04 perm="RW">-1</idle_icon_04>

    <idle_icon_06 perm="RW">-1</idle_icon_06>

    <idle_icon_07 perm="RW">-1</idle_icon_07>

    <idle_icon_08 perm="RW">-1</idle_icon_08>

    <idle_icon_09 perm="RW">-1</idle_icon_09>

    <idle_icon_11 perm="RW">-1</idle_icon_11>

    <idle_icon_12 perm="RW">-1</idle_icon_12>

    <idle_icon_13 perm="RW">-1</idle_icon_13>

    <idle_icon_14 perm="RW">-1</idle_icon_14>

    screen.jpg

if you wanted to add them back you can replace the -1 with the corresponding numbers example,

    <idle_icon_01 perm="RW">1</idle_icon_01>

    <idle_icon_02 perm="RW">2</idle_icon_02>

    <idle_icon_03 perm="RW">3</idle_icon_03>

    <idle_icon_04 perm="RW">4</idle_icon_04>

    <idle_icon_06 perm="RW">5</idle_icon_06>

    <idle_icon_07 perm="RW">6</idle_icon_07>

    save and reboot the phone.

This is just experimental, you could also check with the phone guys at forum.snom.com :D

I was suspecting that this is the way, but did not want to blindingly attempt this. So there is no way to set provision for each model at the moment, right. Just checking. Anyway Great, it has got buttons in order, now.

By the way, what parameter do I have to change to prevent from getting a dark screen few seconds after the idle screen kicks in? When the screen dims, it is almost indiscernible to recognize the video image content. Thanks.

  12. I am trying to figure out which template to be customized to implement AutoProvision mentioned in this snom WiKi Category:HowTo:Video_Streaming in particular for the Springboard icons (i.e. steps 6~8). I just do not seem to be able to find the file to edit in Domain Template setting section. Could someone cast a light for me?

    Thanks.

I am using the latest firmware 8.7.3.19 on snom870.

  13. I understand, but for now unfortunately you have to use the fixed url.

If it's a dns entry, as it usually is for a domain, it should not be a big issue.

Rarely will be the case needed, but since you have implemented the code in your template, I thought it would be convenient if it worked in this way also. I hope you would consider implementing this for the future release of snomONE.

    Thanks.

  14. I don't understand.

Why don't you just give the exact url here because this is the final setting from the user and will not be interpreted.

Well, it is a matter of convenience. When some reorganization happens and IP address or FQDN changes, I will not have to make changes here and there if I could use {https-url tftp} and other related codes. Otherwise, every time a network level change is made, a staff has to check snomONE configuration parameters one-by-one.

    Hope you understand.
