I have tried root/snomONE and root/nosoup4u and neither work.
-
I think the default is snomONE
It's prompting for a user name and a password. I believe snomONE is the password. Do you know the user name?
-
You will need to manually upgrade from that version.
Instructions are available on the wiki http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Manual_Upgrade_for_snom_ONE_SoHo
This looks just the ticket.
I have managed to Putty to the system using port 8722. Do you know what user name and password I should use? I used 'admin' and no password for the
web interface but this doesnt get me in on putty.
-
have you tried connecting as root@{ip}:8722 you usually get connection refused if you get the wrong port.

Wrong version page, you need to check under status on the snom ONE page that you get when you first log in (not port 81)
Ofcourse, I'm being stupid. Yes, I can see the version is 2011-4.3.0.5016
-
what is the version currently running there? If it is running .1050, then you can use the link http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Delta_Aurigids_(4.5.0.1075)#Software_Update_Procedure to perform the update.
The version I see on the ADMIN page is 2.6.12 (on the left in the Menu column).

I would avoid using *.pool.ntp.org for the time sync. You can instead use any local time server or the ntp.snom.com.
If you can ssh to the soho, you can use the standard linux command(As root, /usr/sbin/ntpdate ntp.snom.com) to sync the time.
I cannot SSH to the Snomome Soho. When I attempt to do so using Putty I get a 'Connection Refused' alarm.
-
The time is set on the operating system level. Which OS do you have?
The is a Snomone Soho stand alone unit. It is not loaded on to a PC.
-
The old SoHo units were running a seperate web server, and that one has its own version number. Just log into the PBX and do a software update only on the PBX. If oyu dont have it, you can make a software upgrade on the Linux level, log in using SSH and then cd into /usr/local/snomONE, then download the image, rename it to pbxctrl and restart the system.
Thank you for replying so quickly. I'm afraid I cannot see how to do a software upgrade on the PBX side and if I try to Putty to the unit I get a 'Connection reused' error alarm.

I cannot see how to set the time for the system or where to enter europe.pool.ntp.org. I have set the timezone OK.

Yea, thats a tricky problem. The next wave coming out has that problem solved.
I remember that you need to do something on the /etc/network/interfaces file; and you should use the latest/greatest firmware (4.5 Delta), which also makes sure that you cannot screw the IP configuration up so easily from the web interface. I would suggest to upgrade to that firmware version, then use the web interface to configure the IP address again, which will write the /etc/network/interface file, and after a reboot maybe the problem is solved.
Hi,
Thank you very much for coming back to me.
Can we look at the upgrade first?
I have upgraded from the Admin page (going to xx.xx.xx.xx:81) and clicking on 'Update' and then 'Start Update'. Nevertheless I think the version is 2.6.12 ( I see this on the left in the menu column near the bottom).
Is this unit upgradable to 4.5?
This is a SnomOne Soho standalone unit, it is not installed on a PC.

Using the Snom One soho standalone unit.
We have on our LAN a Cisco (ESW-520-24P)LAN switch and a Zyxel P-660HN-F1Z.
I am attempting to use the SIP SUBSCRIBE. multicast method.
I am using Snom 360 and 370 phones (version 8.7.3.7).
I am following the manual closely yet the the phones are not autoprovisioning.
On rebooting the unit I do not see 'Joined Multicast' in the logfile.
-
This not the softswitch version, this the Snom One soho standalone unit.
My PC is on XP, we have a Cisco (ESW-520-24P)LAN switch and a Draytek 2820 router.

Hi,
thanks for the link. I am working through it and have noticed that after turning on the SIP.MCAST service and reboot the Snomone,
I cannot see the 'Joined Multicast' in the logfile. (I turned of all specific events on the logging page and only left 'Log TFTP and PnP events' on)
I am using a permanent evaluation licence, does this allow multicast?

Hi,
Thanks for replying to my query.
I am having a problem with plug and play.
I entered the Snom360 MAC in the 'Bind to MAC address' field for the account.
I turned on the SIP.MCAST facility and reset the Snom one.
I then reset my Snom360. The phone came back to life OK and still works but it did not download the button settings.
NB I attempting to use the SIP Subscribe multicast method.
(The phone is running on 8.7.3.7)
Can you see where I am going wrong?

I am trying to network the Snomone to another PBX. In this case it is a Telrad IPEX, but in theory, it could be
any PBX with SIP facility.
-
I am attempting to program buttons on a Snom One extension. I am using a Snom360.
I go to Accounts, click on the Account I wish to work on, then I click on 'Buttons'.
From 'Configuration Profile' I have tried '12 buttons' and 'Extension Specific profile'.
I select a key, lets say '5', choose 'BLF' as 'Type' and in parameter put in an extension number.
I save and then, to be sure, reset the phone.
But the key simply doesn't take.
Am I missing something?

I would like to network the Snomone to another PABX, presumably using the SIP trunks and the SIP trunk set up on the remote system.
Has anyone done this?
Any guidance or advice much appreciated.

Hi Bill H,
Thank you very much for your assistance.
That worked a treat!

Hi,
I am attempting to set up IP Authenticated SIPs on the Snom One.
The Snom One is installed on a LAN with an internal IP address, it has a NAT'd static external address and it is this address to which the SIP authenticates.
I am unable to make an O/G call. This is because the the internal IP is appearing in the header as can be seen from the INVITE:
INVITE sip:902083279088@10.0.0.251;user=phone SIP/2.0
10.0.0.251 is the internal address.
Can anyone help?

Thank you very much for your response.
Whilst I will be looking at the document you refer to, the actual
issue I was having was how to set up the phone and Snom One so when I connect
the phone, it will find the Snom one and download the configuration files.
-
I have successfully set up a SnomOne Soho and a number of extensions. My next step is to try registering an extension
across the internet (at my home for example). I have read over the manual carefully but it does not appear clear to me how to do this.
Would someone be able to provide straight forward guide on how to do this?
I am using Snom 360 phones.
-
Hi Steve B, thank you for your post.
I did check the router and whilst this was not the issue it did
prompt me to look in that direction.
Consequently I looked at my managed LAN switch (Cisco ESW)and whilst the setting
I had ('Other') I expected to be open for all uses, it clearly was not, as when I changed
this to 'IP Phone Desktop', the auto provisioning worked.
Thank you again for your assistance.

Thank you for helping me with this.
This is not Snom One plus. It is Snom One Soho.
I turned on the SIP Events and all the SIP logging options (I turned all other logging options off.
Log levels I have set to 8)and plugged in 2 of my Snom phones.
The log was blank.
So I guess that the multicast is not being received.
Is it the phones that send out the multicast?
Should the phones have any values set previous to connection?
The phones are on version 8.4.31 and 32.
Before connecting the phones I reset all values to default.
NB Phones and Snom One are on the same LAN.
Snom one Soho cannot get plug and Play working
