what is the difference between the 'SIP Gateway' and 'Outbound Proxy' ? Also, in both of these options there is a required 'password' field - what that field should be set to if the other end of the trunk is a simple cisco router sip gateway? Thanks!

Hello all, I am new to the community, so pardon me if I am submitting the question to the wrong section. I am working on configuring call routing between my cisco 3850 voice gateway and pbxnsip server. For testing purposes I have configured a simple dial-peer on cisco to route a single number towards the pbxnsip. How should I configure the connection between the pbxnsip and the cisco router? Should the link be of type 'Sip Gateway' or 'Sip Trunk'? I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction, Thanks, -igor
