  1. Thanks for the tip too. I did try adjusting the trunk Rewrite global numbers as well, but with no luck. I just cannot tell what changed when I did the upgrade to V4. I don't have a SIP Trace either. I really don't know much about the phone system either, I was just tasked with doing this.
  2. We are using the country code 1. As for the dial plan, I tried editing it to make it work, but I just don't know enough to try to get it working. Is there a good page explaining what you mean exactly?
  3. Greetings all, I have been going over this for hours, and I just can't find an answer. I upgraded our system to V4, and ever since then, we cannot make long distance calls out. They can call us, but everytime we try to call a long distance number, it rings, but then says "Your call could not be completed as dialed." I am not sure where to look anymore, I have looked through the dial plans and the trunks. We don't do anything fancy with ou PBXnSip system, but it just won't work. Please help! -Thanks, Jeff
  4. Greetings all, I just recently upgraded a client to Small Business Server 2008 from 2003, and with that, Exchange 2007. They have had PBXnSip with the CS410, and it was working before in where when they would get a voicemail, it would send it as an attachment to their email. It does not do this anymore. I logged into the PBXnSip admin console, and noted a few changes, such as obviously with the new server, there was a new IP address for the SMTP Server, in which I changed. I also had to go put in a new receive connector, because I noticed the email wouldn't work, and I have done that. But it still won't send out an email with the voicemail attachment. I am lost at this point, and I don't know enough about PBXnSip to be able to really troubleshoot this. Can anyone help? They have version 3.4.0.3201 of PBXnSip. Thanks --Jeff

    Caller ID

Thanks for the tip. I will look into it, but the client bought the extended warranty on it, so we have had tech support in there all weekend trying to fix it, so if they tell me what they did, I will be sure to pass it along.
  6. I have a client that has the cs410 and is running pbxNsip throughout their business, but for some reason, they can't get caller ID. After resetting the box, they get around 5% of the calls coming in to be on caller ID, but that is it... I don't even know where to start in trying to figure out why they don't get caller ID. Does anyone know of something I could troubleshoot? Thanks! --Jeff

    Broadvoice

Yeah that is what I thought... which I imagine is true. Most likely it is on the Broadvoice side of things... as to when they accept the register... either that or I don't know how to explain it. I just know that sometime in the middle of the night, our settings were accepted, and everything is working now... weird.

So jut to update you, I DID get it working, for some reason, overnight, my error messages changed to the one I have shown above. The only thing I did yesterday that I hadn't done before was add the number to the account name, and for domain added sip.broadvoice.com I am just guessing here, but it seems as if they don't update but once every 24 hours, and most likely all of my issues were me trying to get registration done at that moment. But anyways, I really appreciate your help, thank you! --Jeff

    Broadvoice

Well I WAS getting error 408, timeout when I would have the outbound proxy set to proxy.nyc.broadvoice.com, and if I would change the outbound proxy to the other recommendation of proxy-nyc, I would get error 500, address issues, but now since I came into work this morning, My trunk doesn't give me an error message, it says: 200 OK (refresh interval 15 seconds), which that is completely new. So I am attempting to register it, and if it does indeed register, I will post what settings worked here for me. It is weird though because I really haven't changed anything, it just all of a sudden decides it wants to work...

    Broadvoice

Thanks for the info. We do have the sip password, which we have correctly entered, and as for BYOD, I asked Broadvoice what that was, and they said it was just info. on the account, so I assume our account must be set for BYOD. It still is not registering... Broadvoice is no help either... they basically tell me since we are using a device that does not have a configuration with them, there is nothing they can tell us... I don't know what else to do. I do appreciate your help!

    Broadvoice

Greetings to whomever might be able to help, We just bought Broadvoice, and are trying to connect it to our PBXNSIP system, however, we keep getting the error message: 408 Request Timeout (Registration failed, retry after 60 seconds) Our account number is our phone number I believe... The outbound pox that we are using was recommended on this board earlier: proxy.nyc.broadvoice.com:5060 Is the domain listed in registering this as a trunk supposed to be the sip.broadvoice.com that they recommend when purchasing their stuff... Also, we said yes to avoid RFC4122 (UUID), so I know it isn't that.... If anyone has struggled with this and found the answer, please let us know. I would appreciate it. Thanks!! --Jeff
