  1. nope..system has been the same since i pushed the last software...it always seems to not be able to get out of the hunt group when you answer a call, I have to hang up the next phone when a call comes in...but other than that, it did not send any emails on monday...I have one of my phones regestered to another system where I can make calls out on it, but other than what just happened, it has kinda been working ok...fxo ports have always been locking up occasionaly, and I have to reboot it when they do..lately I have been getting RTP timeouts with conversions on the fxo ports...I just figured my switch is getting old and cranky, I lost a port on it a few months ago...

  3. hey, yesterday my cs410 quit sending emails, but it sent a CDR, now I cannot get it to answer calls or call out on it, it will answer an incomming call on the fxo ports, but just goes silent..I can ping it and SSH into it, but the webserver no longer will run...any ideas on what happened?

I gave the unit a public ip and it works now, we have the pbx behind a router, I am using the ip substitution feature on the pbx, should i use the routing feature, when I remove the ip subsititution, the m3 server loses registration, I would like to make this work on our lan with a private address.. also tested it at another place outside of the lan and it passed through the router their as long as I had in the DMZ..phone sounds really good... :

Just got a M3 set up on a pbx call center 25 and I get one way audio for 30 seconds...always 30 seconds, I have it supporting 2 registerations, one by itself and one with another phone..both registerations will work the same way...It is not always one way, it connects about 33 to 25 % of the time when answered or called.. Not much in the GUI to change on the M3, currently have it registeded to the Pubic Ip Address on the server, but it is on the same lan as the server..? any ideas?

I have seen something simular, in the applainace also, and in this call center 25 i am trying to get going...when you create a trunk and if you delete it you need to stop and restart the service to make it go away...if you create a new trunk after deleting the first, then you have 2, one you cant see and the one you are trying to use... I had 8 trunks running in the background before I new what was going on and the phones started to feed back...the only way I could get them to dissappear was to delete everything and start over, I have also noticed to get changes in the trunk you are working with it is best to restart the service to make sure the change take place....ghosts in the machine... you know... russell
  12. hi, well I tried it ...here is how it went, made a new extension, gave it the ip of the other applaince, on the other appliance I created a new trunk, gave the trunk the domain of the other appliance and out bound proxy of the other unit also...using ip addresses.. this is what is weird, trunk shows registered on the older white unit but will not register on the black unit the other way... call extension on unit extension is created in and get extension's voice mail, so I tell white unit "tunk"to send call to the extension, dial extension, get the "extension is busy"...hmmm.... then I tell trunk to send call AA agian and the call connects, then I try an extension on the trunk unit and the call rings, when I go back to extension unit a little latter and call again, I get extension voice mail... and the process repeats itself... guess I will do some logging to see what is happening....? just to let you know it kinda works, but only one way so far....newer unit wont let me go other way so far.. all the best russell

  15. maybe I did not make myself clear..there is no public side..not using fxo, not using wan at all.. so to call from cs410 to cs410, I can do that with the dial plan? so if I have phone A registered to the first cs 410 that is on my lan and then on the same lan with phone B registered to the second cs 410, and the appliances and phones are sharing the same switch..and router then Phone A can call Phone B by just using the dial plan?   16. hi, I dont have a public side for these units, just analog phone lines...I have a white unit and a black unit, white unit is not running the same version as the black unit, I was wanting to experiment with some dialing plans and trunk set ups, by being able to call between the units...can the 2 units find each other on the private lan side without a domain server or dns record lookup? by the errors i have been getting,404,408,500 it looks like they cannot... thanks

Hi all, I thought I would wait awhile before asking about this, I have a CS 410 set up to call my cell phone when a message is left in my mailbox...the system hunts the phones, then just my extension, then my mailbox, the system then calls me and I answer, if I do not respond to the first prompt imediately, the system will drop the call, so I have to punch in 1 real quick or no call, I dont even get a chance to listen to all the options..if I respond to the call on the first prompt I can listen and do everything I want to... I thought this might have cleared up with the new software up grades, but this problem continues..anybody else seen this or did I forget to put something into a box somewhere? Also still having an fxo port1 hanging about once every two days and still got the double line thing happening about every 3rd or 4th call... thanks, Russell

    well it seem to me that the phone company is rotating your lines in front of the CS410, the second line has the DID of the line it comes in on even thought they called a different number, if you want certian lines to be answered by certian ports then you cannot have the phone co hunt your other lines...this will mean that you get a busy signal when calling that number, if you have 2 lines rotating at the co for one number then the DID should be the same on each port to show they are calling the same published number, or have the DID of that line assigned to the same account, but I may be wrong...I am also courious to know that you may need additional auto attendents to catch the other lines..

Hi, dynamic IP ...havn't tried that, might try to set it back to fixed ip, and look at your router, makes sure your fixed ip is not with in the range of DHCP address on the router,,,mine does not like the two mixed, when it is I cannot get to anything that is assigned an IP address that should be assigned by DHCP, I just have an old network anywhere NR041, it seems to handle my 3 Snom 300 phones ok and 2 PSTN phone lines, it does have its share of issues though, I am finding out VOIP is not for the faint of heart, I am fixing to try a Sip Trunk pretty soon, have gotten a lot of bugs out of the PSTN thing though, make sure also that the phones if using fixed ip are not in the range of DHCP also... you did not mention much about your configuration...be nice to know what phones you are using how many, how many pstn lines, do you have a sip trunk, what kind of router etc.... Also the phones like to have a fixed ip's also, at least mine do, it works better than using the mac address, maybe it has someting to do with the router, dont know..I am just a user like you on the forum.. Hi Kevin, Thank you for the response, the reason I put the "can't find trunk" in was that after the port locks up, you cant find a trunk, it wont even go to the next line which is available... the reason I put in the working directory is that I was trying to show that I have to restart to get it to let loose the port I have tried removing the cable from the box and the line goes on hook in a few seconds and I have a busy tone again, but the fxo light stays on and if you hook it back up the line is off hook again, I paralled a analog phone in front of the appliance and the analog phone is off hook also, when this is going on. Hope this helps, if there is anything you want me to look for I will try.. thanks Russell
