  1. Hi there, Ok I tried the test you suggested above, but still doesnt work. Created a new domain, registered a couple of extention, but still no luck...I just get a code as if the feature doesnt exist. *87 is set for call pickup on the domain... so I'm a bit stuck... any other ideas?
  2. Hi there, We upgraded to PBXnSIP version 4.2.0.3958 (Win32) last week when it was released, which sorted out our exchange voicemail problems. Now we have a problem where we cannot pickup calls from other extensions. If another extension is ringing, and I want to pick it up, I normally dial *87<extention>, but now I get a "busy" signal, as if the extention or code doesn't exist. I did some testing, and if I just dial *87 and call, it picks up a call in our call center agent group... Any idea on what the problem might be? I see in the editing extentions page that there's a new section for Park and Pickup, but currently there is no documentation on what this does? I tried the help button on the page, but takes me to http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Extension_settings which has got no content. Please Advise
  3. Ok, We now upgraded to Exchange 2010, and we still have the same problem... Can we open this case and relook at it again please?
  4. oh...ok... so... should I try reposting after 1 week.... ? o_O also another problem I have is this: When calling an extention which is not registered to a phone (phone is off etc) then it goes to exchange directly, prompting the user to leave a voicemail, which is what it's supposed to do, but for some reason on no answer (after 20 seconds), the pbx is not transferring to exchange and only gives timeout message "The person you are calling is unavailable" any ideas?
  5. Hi all, Exchange is working fine with pbxnsip, with a couple of niggly problems. Play on phone doesnt work, when I try and use play on phone, I get the following error in the exchange box event log: An outbound call to sip:5203@10.1.1.15;user=phone couldn't be established. The selected outbound gateway "(PBXnSIP 10.1.1.15:5060 outbound=True secured=False)" returned the error "401 Authentication Required". The caller ID used for this call was 'sip:5203@NCCPTWS015.netcash.co.za;user=phone'. Contact the vendors who support your VoIP gateway and IP PBX hardware for help troubleshooting the SIP response error code specified in the event description. You can also run diagnostic tests on your VoIP gateway or IP PBX hardware to make sure the devices are operational. Additional information: A SIP request has failed. The current operation is 'Opening'. The session state is 'Connecting'. The remote participant is 'sip:5203@10.1.1.15;user=phone'. The response code was '401'. The response text was 'Authentication Required'. we are using pbxnsip version 4. Any ideas? When clicking play on phone, this is my log: [8] 2010/08/11 15:23:06: Received SIP connection 62500 from 10.1.1.37:60628 [4] 2010/08/11 15:23:06: SIP Rx tcp:10.1.1.37:60628: INVITE sip:5203@10.1.1.15;user=phone SIP/2.0 FROM: <sip:5203@NCCPTWS015.netcash.co.za;user=phone>;epid=F0B016982A;tag=e3f98fbb5 TO: <sip:5203@10.1.1.15;user=phone> CSEQ: 18 INVITE CALL-ID: 30feaf9d-9d5d-42d9-9f1f-d364edd224aa MAX-FORWARDS: 70 VIA: SIP/2.0/TCP 10.1.1.37:60628;branch=z9hG4bK60de188f CONTACT: <sip:NCCPTWS015.netcash.co.za:5065;transport=Tcp;maddr=10.1.1.37;ms-opaque=4a31611917e0ad5c>;automata CONTENT-LENGTH: 215 USER-AGENT: RTCC/3.1.0.0 CONTENT-TYPE: application/sdp ALLOW: UPDATE ALLOW: Ack, Cancel, Bye,Invite,Message,Info,Service,Options,BeNotify v=0 o=- 0 0 IN IP4 10.1.1.37 s=Microsoft Exchange Speech Engine c=IN IP4 10.1.1.37 t=0 0 m=audio 6272 RTP/AVP 4 0 8 97 101 a=rtpmap:97 RED/8000 a=rtpmap:101 telephone-event/8000 a=fmtp:101 0-16 a=ptime:30 [5] 2010/08/11 15:23:06: Identify trunk (IP address and DID match) 2 [4] 2010/08/11 15:23:06: SIP Tx tcp:10.1.1.37:60628: SIP/2.0 100 Trying Via: SIP/2.0/TCP 10.1.1.37:60628;branch=z9hG4bK60de188f From: <sip:5203@NCCPTWS015.netcash.co.za;user=phone>;tag=e3f98fbb5;epid=F0B016982A To: <sip:5203@10.1.1.15;user=phone>;tag=89c4706a0e Call-ID: 30feaf9d-9d5d-42d9-9f1f-d364edd224aa CSeq: 18 INVITE Content-Length: 0 [4] 2010/08/11 15:23:06: SIP Tx tcp:10.1.1.37:60628: SIP/2.0 401 Authentication Required Via: SIP/2.0/TCP 10.1.1.37:60628;branch=z9hG4bK60de188f From: <sip:5203@NCCPTWS015.netcash.co.za;user=phone>;tag=e3f98fbb5;epid=F0B016982A To: <sip:5203@10.1.1.15;user=phone>;tag=89c4706a0e Call-ID: 30feaf9d-9d5d-42d9-9f1f-d364edd224aa CSeq: 18 INVITE User-Agent: pbxnsip-PBX/4.0.1.3499 WWW-Authenticate: Digest realm="nccptws015.netcash.co.za",nonce="549b05c370667b7b47e28baa13cff0ee",domain="sip:5203@10.1.1.15;user=phone",algorithm=MD5 Content-Length: 0 [4] 2010/08/11 15:23:06: SIP Rx tcp:10.1.1.37:60628: ACK sip:5203@10.1.1.15;user=phone SIP/2.0 FROM: <sip:5203@NCCPTWS015.netcash.co.za;user=phone>;tag=e3f98fbb5;epid=F0B016982A TO: <sip:5203@10.1.1.15;user=phone>;tag=89c4706a0e CSEQ: 18 ACK CALL-ID: 30feaf9d-9d5d-42d9-9f1f-d364edd224aa MAX-FORWARDS: 70 VIA: SIP/2.0/TCP 10.1.1.37:60628;branch=z9hG4bK60de188f CONTENT-LENGTH: 0 [4] 2010/08/11 15:23:06: SIP Rx tcp:10.1.1.37:60628: CANCEL sip:5203@10.1.1.15;user=phone SIP/2.0 FROM: <sip:5203@NCCPTWS015.netcash.co.za;user=phone>;tag=e3f98fbb5;epid=F0B016982A TO: <sip:5203@10.1.1.15;user=phone> CSEQ: 18 CANCEL CALL-ID: 30feaf9d-9d5d-42d9-9f1f-d364edd224aa MAX-FORWARDS: 70 VIA: SIP/2.0/TCP 10.1.1.37:60628;branch=z9hG4bK60de188f CONTENT-LENGTH: 0 [4] 2010/08/11 15:23:06: SIP Tx tcp:10.1.1.37:60628: SIP/2.0 100 Trying Via: SIP/2.0/TCP 10.1.1.37:60628;branch=z9hG4bK60de188f From: <sip:5203@NCCPTWS015.netcash.co.za;user=phone>;tag=e3f98fbb5;epid=F0B016982A To: <sip:5203@10.1.1.15;user=phone>;tag=89c4706a0e Call-ID: 30feaf9d-9d5d-42d9-9f1f-d364edd224aa CSeq: 18 CANCEL Content-Length: 0 [4] 2010/08/11 15:23:06: SIP Tx udp:10.1.1.95:2054: NOTIFY sip:5224@10.1.1.95:2054;line=adr9mgv7 SIP/2.0 Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 10.1.1.15:5060;branch=z9hG4bK-cbfc91ae1e9a518b4eb96de407b4375b;rport From: <sip:5203@netcash.co.za;user=phone>;tag=89862835f0 To: <sip:5224@netcash.co.za>;tag=i0xz0aaryz Call-ID: 3c26700f1adb-1f3bnnoa2vbr@snom360-0004132911AB CSeq: 23245 NOTIFY Max-Forwards: 70 Contact: <sip:10.1.1.15:5060;transport=udp> Event: dialog Subscription-State: active;expires=281 Content-Type: application/dialog-info+xml Content-Length: 155 <?xml version="1.0"?> <dialog-info xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:dialog-info" version="1680" state="full" entity="sip:5203@netcash.co.za"></dialog-info> [5] 2010/08/11 15:23:06: Using "Rudi Groenewald" <sip:5203@netcash.co.za> as redirect source address [4] 2010/08/11 15:23:06: SIP Tx udp:10.1.1.130:52682: NOTIFY sip:5201@10.1.1.130:52682 SIP/2.0 Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 10.1.1.15:5060;branch=z9hG4bK-a39d05cea209088c746e0a1e7ebb0df5;rport From: "Rudi" <sip:5203@netcash.co.za>;tag=8d6c1a7529 To: "5201" <sip:5201@netcash.co.za>;tag=084d305e Call-ID: YjBiMDBjODZmMDM0ZDIyZWE0ZDdmMDZiMTc1NTIxZjc. 6. ok...can i mail it to support@pbxnsip? I will refer to the post as a reference. by the way we are running exc07
  7. ok I don't know how I'm getting the 487 responses. What settings do you suggest I change or tell you what they are? No the drop of the call is instantanious... as soon as it redirects it drops the call... if that helps. Everything is pretty straight forwardly setup from the manuals.... any ideas?
  8. ok doesn't look like I'm getting that entry, this is what I get on log level 8
  9. ok u want me to wireshark? From which side, pbx or exchange or client?
  10. Hi guys, Sorry for the delay on this, I had another project that had to be finished first. Here's the log at level 7 for two calls which should have routed to voicemail. what happens at the moment is it rings, and when it transfers we get "The subscriber you have dialed is unavailable" (Which is the default voice response from my phone company when the person I am dialling has no route) Any ideas?
  11. Allright, which logging level would give me these stats? just enable sip registration logging also?
  12. allright... but why would you say that... what would isa not do that any other firewall will do?
  13. Hi all, We've got 3 employees working from home which I want to give the facility to register to their extentions on pbxnsip. We've got static IPs, so I'd like to know is there a guide on how to achieve this? We use ISA server as our firewall and proxy and I have a static IP available for use just for sip and rtp traffic. Could you give me some sort of guidance on what I would have to set on pbxnsip to get the registration and rtp traffic flowing correctly? I tried this once when we still on dynamic ips and I could get the phones to register, but I couldn't get any voice once a call was established. Any ideas? Regards, Rudi Groenewald
  14. Hi there, Yup, Accept redirect is set to on, but still same problem. Exchange is setup exactly as per the wiki... any other ideas?
  15. Hi there, Here I've got two calls coming into the pbx from external sources: On the one above, the extention was inactive (nothing registered to it) so it routed to exchange and I immediately get the voicemail prompts ("Please leave a message for ..."), so it works fine. On the above call the extention was registered. I can hear it ringing, but then after the timeout, it drops the call... What am I doing wrong? Settings of Domain: Voicemail Timeout: 20 Call Forward on no answer: 30 Are these the settings I need to look at? Thanks alot in advance
  16. creating an alias on the domain "10.1.1.13" did take the problem away... Thanks alot for the help.. would like to know how i can get exchange to send "ext@domain" to the pbx and not the ip still tho. Thanks alot for the help
  17. Hmm ok.. I think i know what the problem is, but now dont know how to fix it.. hehe So pbxnsip is trying to dial to 5204@10.1.1.13 right? ok this isnt possible because the domain name is netcash.co.za on pbxnsip ... I guess to fix it I can add the alias 10.1.1.13 right? but i don't really want to do that... is it possible to tell exchange to send 5204@netcash.co.za instead of 10.1.13? or am i missing the point? is that what is wrong? No, the user wont be able to dial to 5204@10.1.1.13 because the domain doesnt exist. Thanks for the help so far
  18. Hi There, Here's a detailed log of what happened from call start to end. Redirection back to pbxnsip happens at 2009/06/02 09:56:48 Thanks alot for the help. The user can get to exchange fine, but as soon as they want to transfer back to pbxnsip then the prompt say "We are sorry but you are not allowed to place this call" this is what happens in the logfile: [5] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: Identify trunk (domain name match) 4 [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: No authentication of user because call comes from trusted trunk [6] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: Sending RTP for YzQyNjc4MTRlMGZmMmIwMzdlYTI4NTFkNDQ5MDNhYWU.#9b499b75e7 to 10.1.1.94:43802 [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: Attendant: Calling extension 5250 [6] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: Redirecting to external voicemail account 5250 destination sip:75250@netcash.co.za [5] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: Dialplan Netcash: Match 75250@netcash.co.za to <sip:5250@exchange.netcash.co.za;user=phone> on trunk ExchangeUM [5] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: Using "Rudi Groenewald" <sip:5203@netcash.co.za> as redirect from [5] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: Charge user 5250 for redirecting calls [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: Call 38459046@pbx#17321: Clear last INVITE [5] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: Redirecting call [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: Call 38459046@pbx#17321: Clear last INVITE [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: Set packet length to 20 [6] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: Sending RTP for 38459046@pbx#17321 to 10.1.1.3:11008 [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: Determine pass-through mode after receiving response [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: 38459046@pbx#17321: RTP pass-through mode [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: YzQyNjc4MTRlMGZmMmIwMzdlYTI4NTFkNDQ5MDNhYWU.#9b499b75e7: RTP pass-through mode [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:46: YzQyNjc4MTRlMGZmMmIwMzdlYTI4NTFkNDQ5MDNhYWU.#9b499b75e7: Media-aware pass-through mode [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:55: NmU5MjIwMDY4OTNlMDI3NjljZjkyZTgwMzMxMzVkMDg.#409f875330: Media-aware pass-through mode [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:55: Other Ports: 5 [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:55: Call Port: 1772235677162009131924@10.1.1.12#911b31e547 [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:55: Call Port: 38459046@pbx#17321 [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:55: Call Port: NmU5MjIwMDY4OTNlMDI3NjljZjkyZTgwMzMxMzVkMDg.#409f875330 [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:55: Call Port: YzQyNjc4MTRlMGZmMmIwMzdlYTI4NTFkNDQ5MDNhYWU.#9b499b75e7 [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:55: Call Port: a12563ff@pbx#36131 [7] 2009/06/01 15:23:55: Call NmU5MjIwMDY4OTNlMDI3NjljZjkyZTgwMzMxMzVkMDg.#409f875330: Clear last request [5] 2009/06/01 15:23:55: BYE Response: Terminate NmU5MjIwMDY4OTNlMDI3NjljZjkyZTgwMzMxMzVkMDg. 20. Hi Kevin, I disagree with you. We moved from our traditional pbx system to PBXnSIP on an audiocodes Mediant 1000 device, which is running on windows 2003. In the beginning we had some teething problems yes, but now we are pushing roundabout 1000 - 1200 calls per day through PBXnSIP and the device's CPU is laughing at us. We do not experience any problems whatsoever, and we even use the recording features of PBXnSIP for every call we receive and make...We use 4 ISDN BRI modules for our external interface, and do not experience any problems with that too. We first had the system on a linux based platform, and now I hate linux even more than I did ever before. Linux itself was unstable, kept on crashing.. and difficult to integrate into our environment. Now we are running on win2003 and the system is flying. PBXnSIP is really a great application. I am happy that we moved over.
  21. Hi All, Our company bought the Audiocodes Mediant 1000 device recently, and we are now setting up our first pbxnsip installation... Here's my problem.. I am a microsoft Slave, not a linux slave... Now, I have read other linux installation topics and it seems that you advise everyone to move to windows. As our device doesn't support any windows installations other than windows xp, moving to windows is not an option...I have done extensive tests on the windows platform already, and I am confident in the pbx configuration, as long as I can get it running on linux. I got linux up and running (suse 10.0) and installed via the terminal... and I now have the linux core running (No gui whatsoever), and I have a disc with the latest setup file on an external CDROM drive. I know how to configure (the device) it now with YAST, and I know how to create directories... that's about it. I created a directory in /srv called pbxnsip where I want to install pbxnsip... Can anyone please give me a little help step by step what I need to do to install, and get it running to the point where I can see the web interface? (mount the cdrom... copy over the file... run the executable, and edit the configuration file....and of course, setup the process to auto start on system startup) thanks alot! Rudi Groenewald
