  1. I now have a Snom 300 registered as a remote extension but I still have no audio. I can call out to the pstn but when I establish a connection theres no audio path, same when calling another extension. I have opened up ports 49152-64512 in the router. Any suggestion would be welcomed.
  2. OK..forwarding port 5060 in the router to the pbxnsip servers lan address of 192.168.1.141 allows me to registers and xlite phone using the cable modems wan ip and I can dial other extensions of the system. I have no audio yet but working on it.
  3. I understand what your saying becouse the IP can change on a regular basis. There should still be away to make this work without changing to a static IP or getting 2 cable modems. This remote office won't be used on a daily basis so if the IP address changes back at the main office they can just make the config changes on their softphones. I have done a handful of Asterisk installs with the same setup with a dynamic IP on the cable modem and opening ports on the router to allow SIP traffic to flow in and out. Is this just not possible with pbxnsip??
  4. I have a client thats opening a satellite office and wants to use 3 soft phones in that office. I looked in the manuals and don't any solid instructions on how to setup up remote soft phones. Client is running ver. 1.5.1.1a in the main office with a Time Warner Cable modem with a dynamic IP. The remote office will also be a Time Warner Cable modem with a dynamic IP. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Many Thanks Tim
  5. the caller was on hold waiting for the receptionist to find her party when she recieved this message.
  6. I see what your saying, and thats differance between alot of companies that sell software based systems opposed to hardware based systems. We are also a vodavi dealer and I can tell you there is real support when you need it. If you buy their product and you have a problem you dial the tech support number and they answer your call and the problem is diagnosed and fixed. Don't get me wrong here I purchased a couple systems from Yori and the support has been fantastic. But at some point as the manufacturer you have to make the commitement of real tech support for anyone that purchases the product. Well thats my opinion.
  7. your answer does not help me, I cant say if thats the EXACT phrase. Is there a such thing as an illegal extension? She goth this message while she was on HOLD.
  8. I'm not recieving any feedback on the questions/problems I'm having. Are you guys at pbxnsip watching this wiki or what?
  9. Well..this is a new one. Here is an email a client just sent to me? Thank you, Tim. I do appreciate it. I also wanted to mention that I was on the phone with someone from the Harold Alfond Foundation and she said she received a message telling her: You are on an illegal extension. Please hang up and dial again. She never even dialed my extension; she was simply on hold from calling the front office. I had never heard of this message before, that's why I thought you should be aware of it. Anyone come across this before?
  10. When Viewing active calls from the Calls Screen I see this alot on incoming calls: 2007/02/28 10:59 2078730684@192.168.16.136 001@localhost connected 2007/02/28 10:59 2078730684@192.168.16.136 001@localhost connected Is this normal to see this twice, sometime a third. Thanks
  11. Under fuctions keys what is the correct settings to for CO line apperances. I have a site that has different settings on different phones. The Snom 300's have this: Context: Active Type: Line Number: <sip:co1@192.168.16.13> The Snom 320's and 360's have this: Context: Active Type: Line Number: co1 Customer reports that when the calls are placed on hold on a certain CO line that callers bounced down to a different CO line. Here is some info they sen to me: I had one call yesterday that was on line 1 and line 2 at the same time. I was trying to pick up a call they told me that was on line 2? I picked up line 2 and it was for Vaughn Clark. Therefore, process of elimination, line one was the only line blinking so I picked up line 1 and it was the same person waiting for Vaughn Clark. I know you are going to say that this is not possible, but I experienced it firsthand. Then when I called down to the front office, they had my call on hold. I simply told them to get a number and I would call him back: a Waterville Police Officer ? that was embarrassing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Tim
  12. I'm not looking to install 50 ATA's but a high density AudioCodes or something. I just figured someone has already done this maybe in a hotel or a school.
  13. Large Analog Installation Is anyone here using PBXNSIP with alot of analog phones with a high density gateway. We are looking at using PBXNSIP in a school with 50 analog phones in the classrooms and 20 IP phones for the staff. Being able to keep the analog phone means no additional wiring to the classrooms. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Maybe a trifold brochure that a reseller can print and include with the two-page flyer and a 12-page detail description. A feel good brochure with smiling people on Snom phones with a simply non technical overview of the product. Take a quick look ath the Asterisk Business Edition brochure, thiers is good. When I'm in a bid situation with a Nortel or Avaya product this information will make or break a deal. Its difficult to bid against the big boys when you dont have good marketing material from the manufacturer. I would pay for this material if pbxnsip had it.
  15. no problem, just asking a question. With remote extension not on a wan but just over the internet can you monitor co lines and other extension if they are programed so your leds light up when someone is off hook.
  16. When will you be updating brochures and data sheets on the website for download. The current ones are very old and are not useful if your trying to sell 2.0. A good product bruchure is neccesary selling tool and should be a priority. I meet with a customer yesterday and went over a proposal with them and I had no up to date brochures to leave with them. If anyone here has any brochures they have created and would like to share please let me know. Thanks Tim Booth
  17. what are the default account and password to log into pbxnsip 2.0?
  18. I really like the setup of this new wiki....great job.
  19. I'm not able to test this but when you setup a remote extension using a Snom phone is it possible to monitor the extensions back where the server is located.
