Guest Pats
First of all, G.729 support is not available on the CS410. Technically it could work, but we made a decision not to license it on the CS410. Compressing voice using a G.729 codec is very CPU intensive as is other functions like call recording. The G.729 codec option is only available on our software based PBX for Window and Linux where CPU processing is generally not an issue. G.729 is useful when processing calls over a low bandwidth Internet connection, but it is not of real value when going over FXO/POTS lines. By default, the device only has g711 codec. In case we would like to have G729 license on our unit. What procedure will we need to do?
