  1. Hi,

     

    Just completing an install here with Snom 760 phones (8.7.3.7) on SoHo (4.5.1075).

     

    OCCASIONALLY (not every time), when making an outgoing call using the handset, when you press the tick key, there is a short burst of ring tone played over the speaker of the phone as the call is being setup.

    This would be probably only 1/4 of a second or so, but is a nuisance and shouldn't be there.

     

    Any suggestions on removing it ?

  2. No problem with it here. It is our softphone of choice on the SnomOne systems although we will probably move to the Bria if 3CX become difficult .

     

    We have it working well on PC's and iPhone

    There doesn't seem to be anything special in the setup. We manage to talk end users through the install and setup process, very useful at times..

     

    Just changed my iPhone from talking to my PBX to using a free Registered SIP number from an external ITSP before i posted this, no problem...must remember to change it back !

  3. Firstly, apologies for not responding sooner.

     

    This fix worked perfectly. Just add the line to snom_3xx_phone.xml and snom_820_phone.xml:, reboot and it all works.

     

    I would assume this will be incorporated into the next software release as it is a fix for an existing function.

    The pbxnsip site offers a little more detail;

     

    "If the "Override DND" flag is set, the account has the right to call an extension, even if that extension is currently on DND. Please note that this applies only to DND which is set on the PBX; if you set DND locally on the user agent, the PBX has no way to call that phone.

    Setting DND from the "Accounts/Redirection" page doesn't provide a solution. Is this what is meant by setting "on the pbx"?

    In any case to be usable in a busy office, it needs to be set/unset by one button press on a phone. Accessing a web page first is too difficult.

  5. Thanks, but

     

    No combination of account numbers (including the * wildcard) in either or both permission tabs works. Calls to the extn in DND still forward to v/mail if set or return Temporarily unavailable message.

     

    Other long shots that i have tried but with no result

    • Call waiting on/off
    • Admin permission on/off
    • Rollback to previous version 4.2.0.39

    Interestingly, on the same page, Call Barge-In, Teach mode and Listen-In all work correctly.....

  6. Where did you set the value? On the one who calls or the one being called? The DND override feature is supposed to give the "secretary" the power to call the "boss", and the setting is supposed to be in the secretaries extension.

    On the one that CALLS ie the "secretary"<br style="color: rgb(28, 40, 55); font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; background-color: rgb(250, 251, 252); "><br style="color: rgb(28, 40, 55); font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; background-color: rgb(250, 251, 252); ">What did you put in there (list of space-seperated extension numbers)?

    Just one extn number ie the "boss"

    I am looking at the DND functionality and seem to have encountered a problem or two.

    We're using a default build of 4.5.0.1075 Delta Aurigids (Win32) for testing and the following occurs

    When a calling extension with "Call the following extensions even if DND is set:" enabled, tries to call an extension that has DND set, the call either goes to voicemail or returns a "Temporarily Unavailable" screen message and audible disconnect tone, depending if voicemail is set or not on the target.

    My expectation of this feature, especially after reading the help screens, is that the calling extension would be able to CALL the target extension, not be shunted to voicemail. Am i reading this wrong ? or is there another explanation ?

  8. On your #2 item: i agree it would be great if the DND button would make the phone ext. BLF light come on. This would be great to let phone users know someone has their DND "stuck" on.

     

     

    Was this ever done ? I am doing a 70 ext install as we speak (4.5.0.1075 Delta Aurigids (Win64)) and it would be very helpful. Not so much a "stuck on" indicator but as a "I'm not at my desk at present" indicator, same as we used to with steam age phone systems...

  9. Hi,

     

    I need to reassign a key on a snom 320 to be a "Flash" key

    Prg required will be "DTMF !^^^^^"

     

    I can get it to work perfectly by using the Web Interface of the phone and applying it to any of the normal fixed function keys (say the DND key), but of course that setting is overwritten next time the phone or the snom restarts so i need it to be permanent.

     

    System is a snom pbx 4.5.0.1050 (win 32), with Patton Smartnode Gateways and Centrex trunk lines.

     

    No doubt it is configurable in an .xml file somewhere. Can anyone help ?

  10. Hi,

     

    Snom ONE Soho running 2011-4.3.0.5012 (Linux)

     

    When an additional audio folder (audio_uk) is loaded into the snomone directory, it fails to show in the admin GIU (admin/settings/general)

    The only options are English and Italian (even if the Italian folder is removed)

     

    Services restart has no effect.

     

    If you rename the audio_uk folder to audio_it (after removing the original audio_it folder) and then select Italian as the default IVR language and Tone Language, this will allows the use of the UK prompts....works, but not ideal....

    Snom One 4.2.0.3981 Win 32

    Snom 320 8.4.32

     

    In the individual mailboxes, is there a way to get the dial 0 (Mailbox escape account) to forward to an external number ?

    I can forward ok to an internal extn, but going to an extenal number just shows Disconnected on screen

     

    The system Logfile shows "no dial plan available"

  12. Hi,

     

    Snom One SOHO running on a Sheeva Plug

     

    v2011-4.3.0.5012

     

     

    Test setup is ShevaPlug, 1x Snom 320, 1x Snom 300, 1x Snom PA1. (all 8.4.31)

     

    When either phone initiates a page (dials 75), the PA1 will deliver the audio stream everytime, bu the other phone will remain silent, although it is aware of the page as it shows PA on the screen.

     

    Services/phones have been started/restarted many times with the same result.

     

    A pcap trace from the "silent" phone, shows the MC packets are being delivered on the correct address/port (224.1.1.2:4000), but as above, the phone is silent, apart from a very soft click at the start of the page.

     

    From the phone's web interface, i can see that Multicast support is ON and the correct address/port is setup in IP Address 1 (Advanced/SIP-RTP/Multicasting)

     

    However, when you examine the full Settings .xml file (attached), Multicast Listening is ON, but no ip address or port are specified.

     

    Any help would be appreciated

    Snom One SOHO running on a Sheeva Plug

    I notice that the admin/webpage control tab is not present in the SnomONE SOHO GUI.

     

    Occasionally we do like to tweak some of the .xml files for the phones. Is there, (or is there going to be) a simple way to do this on the SOHO platform ? or are we confined to the Linux Command Prompt ?

    Those annoying Page_Begin/Page_End tones appear to be missing.

     

    Can they be added manually ? (caution, you are talking to a Linux newbie here)

     

    While we are in the audio mood, how do you load alternative Prompt/Music and Tone files onto the SheevaPlug ?
