Quick bug, since going to 5.08 it no longer shows any files under list of uploaded audio.
All my 5.08 systems have custom MOH files and none of them are showing in this field since upgrading.
Of course I know they are still there as I still have custom MOH

I would not have any idea on how to get button functionality implemented over CSTA. I am afraid that the Vision software cannot be used as extension board with the current firmware.
My method posted above seems to work with most button functions I have tried. Looks like the vision is not as useless as I first thought :-)

RESOLVED: Anyone wanting to do this, the trick is to assign the park keys as buttons to the extensions profile first. Then in the vision make the keys Button keys.
Example for an 870 -
Make a custom button profile for the 870 adding buttons 16,17,18,19 with Park Orbit 66 67 68 69
Assign custom profile to the 870 account that the Vision is paired with.
On the vision make the keys you wish to assign the park keys to BUTTON keys and assign the Buttons ( 16,17,18,19 )
The park keys will now not only park calls but retrieve calls on park as well.

-TIP- (Pretty Obvious)
Make sure the Micro PC you are buying has a - AC POWER LOSS - Power ON/OFF - option in the BIOS.
That way if you lose power and your UPS drains, the PC will automatically boot up when power is restored.

On handsets with 8.7.3.19 I am getting a DND bug with 5.08
Turning DND on works fine but turning it off takes about a minute before it actually turns off.
Tested on 5.08 with 870 and 720 handsets and have the problem.
Tested on 5.08 with 300 (8.4.35) and I do not have the issue.

Can we please get an option in Park Orbit settings for park reminder location . Something like Park reminder Location = Park Source(Default) - or - Account Number (so we can enter a Hunt Group or individual Extensions)
eg; Say a receptionists parks a call and gets stuck on an important 2nd call they cannot leave, other staff members would like to know there is a customer on park. The problem is they would not know because the reminder only calls back the extension that put the call on park.
If we had this option I could set Park reminder to 30 seconds and have it call back to a hunt group resolving the issue.

Trying to add the following to my snom_3xx_phone.xml file so that on the 870 handsets, the up and down key selects the LDAP on idle (much like the 7 series)
Just keeps coming up key unassigned no matter what I try.
870 FW 8.7.3.19 on Snom One 5.08

Whole system from a remote backup. We learnt the hard way that it does cause a lot of strain on the system as we traced it to the cause of 870 handsets locking up and sometimes squeeling after a system backup.
But it is needed as the programming in these systems is extremely complex as it is 8 x snom systems connected across 8 sites. I do it remotely at night after major changes occur to a system. I then reset system after backup to make sure the system is good.

Not sure if this is a bug or not but doing a system config backup and loading it into a new system does NOT appear to bring across the domain address book.
So i am guessing either its not backed up in the config file or there is a problem when reloading the config file back in.
This means if the client has a hardware failure and did not have a csv backup of there address book they would need to manually re-enter all there entries or create a csv.
Learnt this the hard way today, and with cell fields not working yet in csv, manually entering 50+ cell numbers is painful =(

Just tried it on our 5.08 system in our office..... Same bug. Cell number just repeats fixed number.

We have made a new build for 5.0.8. The confusion with the file naming for V5 was immense. Seems there was a file with the suffix _v5 that was actually never used slip into the build and caused a lot of chaos in the extension area. These problems affected the web client side; the PBX itself was not affected by this.
Also please keep in mind that Linux blocks the ports for up to 10 minutes after the restart for exclusive use, which can result in missing page loads, again with all kinds of side effects. You'll see the log message that port so-and-so could not be opened all over again until they were opened.

Having 1 minor issue (1) and one major issue (2):
1) Reloaded 5.08 after the re-release with language fix and first the login screen is English then when I enter my login details German login appears and I have to log in again then im in and its English.
2) I cannot get into my domain settings! System settings are fine
If I factory default I can, but once I load my config file back in I get the same issue.
I have NOT changed any (*header_v5.htm and *footer_v5.htm)settings.
Going back to 5.07 and loading my file I have 0 problems. Making a new backup file and going back to 5.08 I get the same issue.
Browser hangs when I click on a domain and I get an error eventually (on both chrome and IE explorer) saying the page is not responding.
Note the system seems to be functioning fine.
Also to let you guys know if it helps, we have a number of accounts with DID numbers assign directly to them. I say this because a new feature is the web interface shows the DID and the ANI of users in the account overview and this is the first screen that should load up when you click into domain settings.

Aha. So essentially what is needed is an option to prefix the number with *90 on the BLF buttons? That sounds easy...
Confirmed as fixed in 5.07. Any chance of getting that BLF combination with it in 5.08 ?

The columns in the CSV should be first name, last name, fixed number, speed dial, client matter code, cell phone.
Tried this but no luck.
Cell phone field repeats the fixed number field.
5.08 Caller ID Bug

Hi guys
On a few 5.08 installs now our customers are noticing that on incoming calls they will get an extensions name appear on there screen instead of the correct incoming number caller id.
Example _ say account 40 is named Joe Blogs. Randomly on incoming calls, Joe Blogs will appear on the ringing phones screens instead of the correct Caller Id.
Its random and happens a few times a day.
Any ideas?
