  1. If the Recpt phone is the only phone ringing on inbound calls, and she is putting the calls on hold, line 1, line 2, and so fourth

If she is waiting for the person to pick up the line, her phone doesn’t ring on another inbound call, the new line blinks, and the display shows the new call, but no audible ring if her phone is hung up, and a call is on hold.

  2. I am doing it very successfully. I would say the number one problem is people trying to use junk routers that do not fully know how to statefully packet inspect/translate SIP as it does the NAT for it. I would highly suggest doing your NAT on a Cisco ASA5505 with Sip inspection turned on. I have had wonderfull success with this unit. It is fully featured with all of the DHCP, AND QoS features you would ever want.

What features do you have turned on the cisco phone? nat enable 1 and nat address "public ip i'm coming from"

    ?

do you have those turned on or off?

  3. Could someone post a ini file of a working snom phone. i don't think it matters what phone. i'm thinking this happened after latest firmware update.

    I just tried, *90

it asks "please enter the extension number"

    i dial "ext"

it says, you are not allowed to place this call.

  4. Check the status of the setting called "answer_after_policy" on the phone. It should be "idle", not "off".

  5. I downloaded pac 3, installed it. i am running pbx ver 3.3.0.3156 . i have tried this on 2 different workstations, same thing happens. it loads the app. i set the login credentials. i hit login, and it just goes to a white page, that never seems to load or open anything. is there a way to trouble shoot this?

  6. Ok, so i reset the phone back to factory defaults. it still does the same thing. the phone won't auto anwer, and now, i can't login to the web interface on the phone.

it prompts me for a login, and my extension doesn't work, neither does admin and no password.

  7. I am still having this problem... so does anyone have a fix? on the phones, i have ' answer after policy' always.

    enable intercom on

i don't know what these settings were prior to latest firmware update.

this was a very nice feature. Can someone please help?

  8. i had a server fail, and am in the process of manually moving the files i want from the old server to the new. I've found wav files, but really have no idea how the pbx is associating these with the individual accounts. Can someone tell me, besideds just dropping the wav files into the recording folder, or dated sub folder, how to link them to the same account as before?

  9. Hold and transfer should work using the phone's buttons. Monitoring someone else will be tricky... The Cisco SIP implementation is a little bit "unclear" on this point.

the 7960 doesn't have a hold or transfer button.

it was a soft button before

  10. I have some 7960 phones, everything is working fine, but i would like to have a hold button, or transfer button? Or monitoring anyone else when on extension?

    any one have any ideas?

also, anyone have any luck configuring the 7914 expansion?

  12. Well, you have to use SMTP. I know it works with the currently published version, there are several installations talking to Exchange with SMTP. But I am not the big Exchange expert, on the PBX side you just need to point the SMTP server to the Exchange server (that part is easy :D ).

i have it set, other things on the inside can relay with outh authenticating. when i look at the log on pbxnsip, i'm getting

    [8] 2008/10/30 19:29:41: SMTP: Send EHLO localhost

    [8] 2008/10/30 19:29:41: SMTP: Received 250-ex01.tek-hut.com Hello [172.16.1.4]

    [8] 2008/10/30 19:29:41: SMTP: Received 504 5.7.4 Unrecognized authentication type

    [5] 2008/10/30 19:29:41: SMTP Server returned 504

any ideas?? it looks like a setting on the pbxnsip side.
