using IVR to playback a recording.

Hello,

I'm wondering if IVR could be made to playback a recording?

for example:

recordings named 0001.wav, 0002.wav, etc. are in a certain folder.

Caller calls in and prompt says "Press your recording number" and it playsback the corresponding recording.

Is something like that possible without writing code?

thanks!

matt

My first and easiest thought is to have it transfer the caller to another IVR that has the desired recording.

Hi,

The idea is to make it easy for a non-tech to add a recording...

What the plan is is to use the pbxnsip recording feature, then have those recordings avaialble for people to call in and listen to by some assigned id number.

Any other ideas?

tx!

When you say "What the plan is is to use the pbxnsip recording feature,"

which recording feature are you speaking of?

To create the recording file we plan to use the built-in pbxnsip recording capability to make the file we want to play back. (unless there is a better way)

I looked in the WIKI under IVR Node and found this to reset the MWI Indicator.

Set “action:set?name=vm_indicator&value=0/0 (0/0)” under SOAP URL

I know that isn't what you are looking for but perhaps PBXNSIP Support can tell us what other "action:" methods are available.

That may be where your answer can be found.
