unable to call from communicator to pstn

hi everyone,

For some reason I am unable to call from communicator when I dial + country code + region code + number - Such as +35121XXXXXXX

If I dial 21XXXXXXX the call goes through

the normalization rule uses the following pattern:

^\+?(\d*)$

translating to:

$1

and a route rule of:

^\+?(\d*)$

does this make sense?

does pbxnsip support the + sign?

Many thanks.

Check out the dial plan on the PBX. If the call works with 21XXXXXXX, then by having the correct dial plan on the PBX, you should be able to make the calls. A SIP log on the PBX would help to debug the issue (http://wiki.pbxnsip.com/index.php/Admin_settings#How_to_get_the_SIP_logging)

there is nothing comimg up on the log file. Can I assume the mediation is not passing any traffic to pbx?

in case this helps the ocs front end server and mediation are virtualized in 1 host, whereas the pbx is virtualized in another host.

thanks!

Looks like mediation is not passing any traffic to pbx. You may need to check the mediation dial plans/routing related settings (i am no big expert on it)
