Polycom Ringer

I know this is more of a hardware issue and unrelated to PBXnSIP's side of things, but I need to make a ringer louder.

I have a customer that has a P550 in a loud environment: Bar. They can't hear the phone ring during hectic times. Anyone know of a way to boost the ringer louder? I've contemplated getting a sip page horn with nightbell, but I've not had the chance to work with one yet.

Any ideas?

Thanks

The Polycom only rings so loud.

You could use an Analog Terminal Adapter / ATA like Grandstream HT-502 or same idea from Linksys. (Around $65.00)

Then you have a standard telephone line output, on the ATA, to which you can connect a loud bell or cordless telephone.

Register the Adapter to the same extension as the "Bar" phone then you won't need any additional licenses and it will ring at almost the same time.

The HT-502 actually has 2 ports to allow up to 2 extensions, so you get a little bonus here.

Hope this helps.....
