Ryan
Hello, I have set in domain settings the 1 and the 916 area code. Yet when clients on this domain call out, they still need to dial a 1916 before calling; this is not feasible because our customers need to be able to call in their local area code without dialing it first. Any ideas? Thank you, Ryan
gotvoip
you need to do this in the dial plan and put something like xxxxxxx 1916* in the replacement so when it sees 7 digits it adds the 1916. that should do it.
Ryan
I made a second dial plan row, using my Gateway trunk, and using xxxxxxx as the pattern, and 1916xxxxxxx as the replacement; however when I dial a number of 7 digits in this area code, it just returns 404 or 480. Ryan
AH! I read gotvoip's answer wrong; I changed the replacement to 1916* and it works! Thank you!
Vodia PBX
Also, the 2.1.5 version has more logging on how it processes the dial plan in log level 9. Just in case you need to understand what the PBX is doing when things are going wrong with the dial plan.
