Kahele Nakaahiki
Hi! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to upgrade our Snom one system, running on CentOS32, from 4.3.0.5021 to 4.5.1.1107. I've downloaded the binary, made it executable, stopped the service, renamed both old and new files (we don't used a symbolic link file) but when I attempt to restart the service I get 'Segmentation Fault'. Kahele Nakaahiki
[root@srpbx01 PBX]# /etc/init.d/PBX start /etc/init.d/PBX: line 5: 6843 Segmentation fault /usr/local/PBX/pbxctrl.exe --dir /usr/local/PBX/ --config /usr/local/PBX/pbx.xml
Vodia PBX
Hmm what link did you use for the download? What ever it does it should not seg fault. You can manually try the image with pbxctrl --version that will just show the version number and exit.
Kahele Nakaahiki
I pulled the binary from here; http://snomone.com/downloads/snomONE/centos32/pbxctrl-centos32-4.5.1.1107
Vodia PBX
Well the name should not contain a .exe at the end then. Maybe you accidentally go the Windows build?
Kahele Nakaahiki
First off i need to thank you for replying to me! Yeah that threw me for a loop as well. I didn't originally install this instance of the PBX and as far as i can tell they just renamed the binary with a .exe at the end and that is the file mentioned in the startup script. #!/bin/sh # description: PBX startup # chkconfig: 2345 99 00 case "$1" in 'start') /usr/local/PBX/pbxctrl.exe --dir /usr/local/PBX/ --config /usr/local/PBX/pbx.xml touch /var/lock/subsys/PBX ;; 'stop') echo -n "Stopping PBX:" kill $(pgrep pbxctrl.exe) echo RETVAL=1 rm -f /var/lock/subsys/PBX ;; *) echo "Usage: $0 { start | stop }" ;; esac exit 0 I attempt to use a symbolic link instead but i still got a segfault error. [root@srpbx01 PBX]# /etc/init.d/snomONE start Starting snom ONE daemon/etc/init.d/snomONE: line 7: 7319 Segmentation fault ./$PBXEXE --dir $PBXDIR Also i'm not following on your suggestion to try the image with pbxctrl --version. Truthfully i've forgotten most linux i knew, and that wasn't much. I tried <binary name> --version but that came back with unknown command. Vodia PBX
If you want to ever be able to upgrade the PBX from the web interface, the executable name must be pbxctrl (hack, hack). I would suggest just renaming (mv in Linux) the exe to pbxctrl and edit the script accordingly. I suspect that there are several pbxctrl* files, and you end up using the wrong one. A "ls" would show the picture.
Kahele Nakaahiki
Okay, i'll rename the the exe and edit the script and see how that goes. Vodia PBX
As I suspected you have downloaded the image but the link points to the wrong executable. Try: mv pbxctrl pbxctrl-link mv pbxctrl-centos* pbxctrl The cross fingers and ./pbxctrl --version
Kahele Nakaahiki
I'm still getting the segmentation fault error. Actually I'm even getting it on the binary when running the --version switch. [root@srpbx01 PBX]# ./pbxctrl-centos32-4.5.1.1107 --version Segmentation fault
Kahele Nakaahiki
UPDATE: Looks like the issue was a corrupted binary. After downloading a new copy the upgrade was successful. Thank you for you help!!
