Bill H
We have entered our cellphone numbers into each extension account. Normal calls coming into PBXNSIP are answered by our Auto Attendant. When we call into PBXNSIP from our cellphones the Auto Attendant gives the choices to make a call, go to our mailbox or connect to the Auto Attendant. We would like to use the "Call Monitor" feature from our cellphones. Does anyone know the sequence to do this? Thanks, Bill H
Vodia PBX
If you can make it into your mailbox, there you can dial a star code (terminate it with the # sign).

andrewgroup
I also believe placing a 1 in front of the 10 digit cell phone prevents this feature, but still allows redirections.
Bill H
If you can make it into your mailbox, there you can dial a star code (terminate it with the # sign). An additional question: When we call into PBXNSIP from our cellphones the Auto Attendant gives the choices to make a call, go to our mailbox or connect to the Auto Attendant. We press 1 to make an outbound call and it works fine. If we want to make an additional call we have to hang up and repeat the entire procedure from the start. Is there a way to Release the first call and make a Second call easier? Bill H
Vodia PBX
Is there a way to Release the first call and make a Second call easier? Not yet. How would you tell the other side to disconnect the call? The only chance is to wait until the other side hangs up, then we could go back to the first menu. Well if PBXNSIP monitors DTMF on the Trunk side where the cell phone came in, a special "Disconnect" sequence like "##**## + PIN" could be entered to disconnect the other side. Then PBXNSIP would return the cell phone to the original greeting "Outbound call press 1, Mailbox press 2, Auto Attendant press 3" It isn't as quick and easy as pressing "##", but it is better then hanging up and calling back in again.
