  1. For some reason that doesn't work.... http://192.168.1.100/remote_call.htm?user=1120%40192.168.1.100&dest=150&auth=1100%40192.168.1.100%3Asupersecretpass&connect=true where 1120 is the extension that has the 1117 1118 setup under "Include following extensions when this extension is being called:" 150 is the auto-attendant with recording Doesn't ring the "mini-hunt" extensions... It just rings 1120 and that's it.
  2. Thanks for getting back. My problem with this is that there are multiple calls all going at the same time. The guards will not know if one call was picked up or not. At least with the hunt group, it rings until ONE picks up...
  3. I'm looking to send a command to the PBX which will ring a hunt group. This hunt group, will then ring a few extensions. When one of the extensions picks up, it would play it a message. Is this even possible? I was thinking to use hunt groups and auto attendant, but the problem is that I cannot ring a hunt group and an auto-attendant at the same time. This is the application: there are 4 security guards on each floor. There are buttons around several buildings. If any of the buttons get pressed I would like to send a command that would ring the 4 security guards, and whichever picks up, a pre-recorded message would say "Button X was pressed in this zone." Any idea how I can achieve something like this?
  4. But just an FYI, the phones do not work under the Find on Lan option. Nothing shows up there. They provision by manually putting the MAC under the extension, and opening it for MAC based provisioning. Guess that'll do.
  5. I was able to provision them using Boot 66. Thanks
  6. I'm trying to configure the following three phones, but none of these pick-up the provisioning information while on booting up. Using Vodia 5.3, Windows. SPA509G SPA504G SPA525G When I go to Setup devices in LAN, nothing shows up. Tried the same for Grandsream phones, and these correctly picked up the provisioning information. My test bed was the following: Vodia 5.3 (WIN) connected to a router (Linksys) 192.168.168.x PoE switch connected to router SPA509G powered by switch SPA504G powered by switch SPA525G powered by switch There aren't any other devices on this test LAN.
  7. Looking to make a call from the web browser interface. Preferably, I would like to do the following: on a trigger: 1. Call an extension/hunt group 2. Display a specific caller ID based on a parameter value in the trigger 3. Play a message 4. Hangup after the message is played Any ideas on how I would be able to do this?
  8. I tried it and still doesn't work... keeps the phone on TCP anyway. I tried with 192.168.1.1/24/8.8.8.8:443/tls where 8.8.8.8 is the hosted PBX ip, and 192.168.1.1 is the internal network Edit: it worked with this: 0.0.0.0.0/0/8.8.8.8:443/tls
  9. Can you please show me a screenshot or a idiot-proof step by step instruction for this?
  10. Simply erasing the snom_transport, the configuration pushes the correct parameters (TLS :443). Therefore somewhere snom_transport is hard-coded to TCP. Removing it, works correctly, but I'm having a hard time deciding if this is the best course of action, in case in future versions, this will change...
  11. I think i might have not explained my issue correctly. The problem I'm currently facing is that all the phones automatically provision over WAN on TCP. I want to change this to work over TLS. I know that we can log-in into every phone and modify the transport to TLS, but what I'm looking is for something similar to this feature in version 4.5. Changing the Transport Layer in the field, changes all the provisioned phones directly to TLS. It seems this is the variable that would like to be modified to TLS:
  12. I don't see how that would change anything over WAN. The PBX is sitting on a public IP, and we use Snom Active to provision these phones ove WAN using the Mac address... There aren't any sip aware routers, that's for sure.
  13. I used mac based provisioning over WAN. If it matters. In 4.5 i know i have an option to push TLS instead of TCP/UDP. Is there any other way to ensure that all phones are working ove TLS?
  14. We're testing with 300 series and 700 series.
  15. It's not... that's the whole problem i'm trying to solve. outbound proxy: sip:office.pbx.com:5060;transport=tcp Problem is that my phones are usually off-site and don't have direct access to them. Is there a way to force or push the certificate to them? or have them push the protocol to TLS mode? Replacing the transport to TLS works fine, but I want to do it automatically. In version 4.x it was easy.
  16. How do I enable TLS and secure RTP on 5.2?
  17. More and more people are using their smart phones. These credentials are important if someone wants to use a third party app. Hence the reason to give out the SIP password. I am aware that the welcome email can be resent, but the problem is that most users are reluctant to enter their emails anywhere to do fear of getting spammed/hacked/annoyed...
  18. Hi, If i want to connect an ATA to an extension that is T.38 compatible. My carrier supports T.38. How can I negotiate this option on the extension? Thanks
  19. A lot of users don't insert their email addresses when creating their PBXes. That way they don't get their welcome email. I think there should be a way to retrieve the SIP/WEB password. I was thinking that the user could call their voicemail, enter an option, and the system should read back their SIP/WEB passwords. That way I can ask them to use 3rd party apps of choice.
  20. Is there a way to only replace the wav files for a single domain? Or a setting that I can point it to a blank file, specifically for that domain?
  21. Hi, I have a client on a SnomONE 4.5, that absolutely hates the page tone that is heard before and after a page. The settings on the paging account is Unicast (it is over WAN...), and both the recorded and live playback, both play the initial and termination tone. How can I disable this audible sound? It's currently setup on a PA1, connected to an amp.
  22. I tried the WAC aswell as the UCClient, but they both seem to lack features in terms of a secretary using it. Did anyone try any 3rd party programs that work better?
