  1. Thank you Thomas.

I will check these. Hav you looked at VOP? It has support for Outlook :).

    Hi,

Yes I have seen VOP, I think it looks like a complete mess. As far as I can see it only allows you to import Outlook contacts, I don't think it will show if a staff member is in a meeting, on vacation etc.

  2. Anyone know a PC Attendant Console application that works with SnomOne?

    Hi,

We are currently looking for a solution for our 10 switchboard operators. A requirement was Exchange integration, so we only found 2 options:

    - SamWin http://www.telecomsoftware.com/samwin/Home/Functions/Attendant/Description/tabid/58/language/en-US/Default.aspx

    - PhoneEasy IP Console http://www.advatel.com.au/content/view/194/204/

  3. What you can do is run a web browser and select the calls tab for the agent group account in the domain on the screen.

This could actually work if it's possible to customize the page dom_acd2.htm or dom_acd3.htm to include the number of calls in line and longest wait time in big numbers.

Would that be possible now? (or would an additional page with these details be considered for the next update?)

  4. All,

We have a new version of the attendant console ready for beta. This is a Windows only application. Please take a try it out and provide us feedback.

The details and download links can be found here - attendant console

    thanks

    Hi,

Is this intended to evolve into a full scale attendant/operator console for the reception/switch board operator to answer and transfer calls, check BLF etc, or do we have to look at 3rd party solutions for this?

    /Thomas

  5. Can you folks send the screen shot of the button profile assigned to that extension (on the PBX) and "Function Keys" page from the phone that is registered to that extension (phone's web interface)?

    Yes,

I guess it's standard, we didn't change anything.

We do have the following lines in snom_3xx_phone.xml :

    <using_server_managed_dnd idx="{lc}" perm="RW">on</using_server_managed_dnd>

    <dnd_on_code perm="RW">{starcode code_dnde}</dnd_on_code>

    <dnd_off_code perm="RW">{starcode code_dndd}</dnd_off_code>{fin_button dnd none}

  6. Hi,

We have the employee and customer databases loaded into the address book.

DID Calls direct to extensions shows the name ok, but calls what pass through the ACD first does not show the name, only the number...?

    Thomas

    Version: 2011-4.3.0.5021 (Win32)

  7. Another forwarding scenario with no current solution...:

External calls to specific employee should be redirected to another destination (receptionist, ACD etc.) on "no answer" after x seconds.

That will work ok, but the problem is that internal calls and transferred calls should not follow this forwarding, but continue ringing until picked up or user hangup.

  8. Hi,

I managed to solve my problem.

First of all I didn't notice the reference in SnomOne was "gui_lang_DK.xml" - the file downloaded from snom.com is actually called "gui_lang_DA.xml"

Second I moved the files from the /html directory to /html/snom

Now it's loading just fine :)

  9. I'm having trouble reading the file from the local Snom One box.

Lets say I use this file as example

    <tone name="internal" type="internal">

    <vendor ua="Snom.*" type="alert-info">Internal</vendor>

    <vendor type="alert-info"><http://www.allstatetelecom.com/ringtones/ring5.wav></vendor>

    </tone>

The phone fetch and plays the file OK.

Now I want to store the file locally on Snom One (actually another file, but it dosen't matter, we une this one just to test). If I save the a/m file on the Snom One /html directory, what would be the url?

    http://127.0.0.1/ring5.wav - not working

    http://127.0.0.1/snom/ring5.wav - not working

    http://[Actual IP]/ring5.wav - not working

    http://[Actual IP]/snom/ring5.wav - not working

How would I tell the phone to fetch the file from the /html directory?

    Brgds

    Thomas

It turned out I have to make a subdirectory in html/ to make it work.

    /Thomas

  10. You should be able to set this parameter at the extension level. Check the following items

    IVR language:

    Web language:

After you have set the correct language, reboot the phone.

It made no difference, it still does not load the language file correctly... :(

Hmm I already set it to Danish at domain level. The phone also seems to request tile file, but seems not to store it correctly.

Anyways I'll give it a try on extension level when i'm back at the office.

  12. Hi,

I'm hawing a problem getting Snom 320 to show language specific GUI. All PnP settings set to Danish.

I downloaded gui_lang_DA.xml and web_lang_DA.xml from http://wiki.snom.com/Settings/language to the Snom One /html directory.

Rebooted the phone and it loads the web interface file fine.

There seems to be some sort of problem with the GUI file.

  13. The ringing tone on the phone depends on the "alert-info" header that is in the INVITE message from PBX to the phone. This alert-info header is controlled by the ringtones.xml file on the PBX. So, if you modify the ringtones.xml file.

Check out - http://forum.snomone.com/index.php?/topic/4434-use-a-ringtone-on-the-snom-370/page__p__19229__hl__ringtones.xml__fromsearch__1#entry19229 for some example.

  14. How do they do that? Do they propagate information from the cell phone network?! Or is there a app running on the cell phone that sends the information over the data network?

Nothing is installed on the phones. The info is provided by the operator. (Obviously all phones would have to be on the same subscription plan(s)).

It seems to be widely available with several mobile operators in Denmark, Norway and Sweden and a feature of many hosted PBX'es and software based operator consoles.

I don't have detailed info, but could try to request it from our operator.

A little info can be found at http://www.dantelo.com/solutions/mobile-presence.html and http://www.blueposition.com/telco/mobile-presence/

  15. We are working on a new snom console and have discontinued support on the WAC for the moment. You can download our phone app in the meantime. The snom console does not have a release date yet, but when it's available you will find it on the forum.

    Hello,

Will cell phone status be included in this console? I.e. Telia provides cell phone status (available/busy/off) to consoles from BluePosition, TP Networks, Formula, Inshare, Miralix, Scantalk and DaTelCo etc.

  16. Hmm. You could assume that there is no region code, so all numbers are either international or local. That could work on inbound. Then to make an outbound call, you could use different dial plan entries and then use the replacement to fix the 0 that is being presented to the carrier:

    Prio: 10 Pattern: 00* Replacement 00*

    Prio: 20 Pattern: 0* Replacement 0045*

    Prio: 30 Pattern: * Replacement *

At this point just an idea.

Generally speaking, I am a friend of numbers that you would enter in your cell phone as well. This is easy to explain to end users these days. The prefix from the old PBX days is always confusing ("How many 0 do I have to put in to make an international call???").

Hmm this really doesn’t solve the problem. The system should prefix the incoming caller id to make it work.

Skipping the 0 altogether is not an option, as it would make it impossible to write a dial plan for the phones to immediately dial the number when an extension or national number had been keyed in wothout pressing OK or waiting for a timeout.

I finally had to have the carrier add the prefix before sending us the call. Now everything is as we wanted it, but only thanks to our very flexible carrier.

    /Thomas

  17. Hi guys,

We have a dialplan which includes 0 for an "outside line".

The problem is that all inbound calls are received from the carrier in national 8 digit format (we don't use area codes in Denmark), or international format 00[CountryCode][LocalNumber].

Thus they do not match addressbook entries. Neither is it possible to return calls from the phones call log, as the numbers lacks the 0 prefix, and therefore do not matched in the outbound dialplan.

Is there any way to add the 0 prefix to all calls received on a specific trunk?

    Brgds

  18.

Apart from that PBX can send ad-hoc recordings as part of the emails by setting up the "Admin->Email->Messages: When a new recording is available on the file system" & a global var "send_recording" to true.

    Hi,

Where do we set "global var "send_recording" to true."?

    /Thomas

  19. Hi,

I cannot figure out if I can program a button for the following situation:

The agent is a member of 3 agent groups

Agent group 1: personal queue, only this member as static agent (if set is busy calls are forwarded to this agent group, and queued until set is free)

Agent group 2: department queue, only this member, login/logout required

Agent group 3: company "operator" queue, login/logout required

I have agent group 1 & 3 running fine, the button is programmed to login/logout of Agent group 3 only, so Agent group 1 will always be logged in

So how can I setup login/logout of agent group 2 without adding an extra button?

    Brgds/Thomas
