Ganesh
We have a customer who is running pbxnsip (Version 2.x) in LAN. He has natted the private IP to a public IP and opened the ports on firewall. The Snom SIP phone (on public IP) is trying to register to pbxnsip using the natted IP as registrar. We can see the register requests coming to pbxnsip and pbxnsip is giving an error "send packet 404" as below Resolve destination 122033: a udp 210.212.206.117 5060 Resolve destination 122033: udp 210.212.206.117 5060 Send Packet 404 What does this indicate? The ports are open bi-directional. Still we dont see any request reaching the phone. Regards Ganesh Neelakantan
Vodia PBX
Are they using the domain name "localhost"?
Ganesh
Are they using the domain name "localhost"? They have domain (Private IP address) created for the phones in LAN to register but the domain "localhost" still exist without any users in it. Vodia PBX
Well then that is the problem. Just keep the name localhost if you have one domain and you have no problem.
