david
We use PBXnSIP with an ITSP trunk, but we want PSTN backup. We have configured a Mediatrix 1204 using a guide found via google and have 4 analogue lines attached to it, we can receive inbound calls via the mediatrix trunk without a problem, although when someone makes an inbound call on one of the analogue numbers, the mediatrix answers and you can hear 5 seconds of ring tone, then the PBX answers with 1-2 seconds of ring tone and then the phone rings. Is there a way of shortening the amount of rings by the mediatrix before the PBX picks up and make the pbxnsip ring tone identical to what we have in the UK? david
Its OK, I have spoken to someone very helpful from http://www.elecfron.com/ who has taked me through changing the delay before the pbxnsip answers. It has gone from 8 seconds to less than 1 second. I have also found a .wav that matches the Uk ring tone, but when we use it it sounds very muffled. Am waiting for ver 2 so will try it after the u/grade.
Vodia PBX
If you like, try the attached WAV file as ringback file. There is also a busy file available. ringback.wav busy.wav
