SIPGATE Trunk

Hello,

I setup a SnomONE with a Sipgate Trunk. The configuration is the following:

# Trunk 4 in domain ......

Name: SIPGATE

Type: proxy

To: sip

RegPass: ********

Direction:

Disabled: false

Global: false

Display: sipconnect.sipgate.de

RegAccount: 49##############

RegRegistrar: sipconnect.sipgate.de

RegKeep:

RegUser: **********

Icid:

Require:

OutboundProxy: sipconnect.live.sipgate.de

Ani:

DialExtension:

Prefix:

Trusted: false

AcceptRedirect: false

RfcRtp: false

Analog: false

SendEmail:

UseUuid: false

Ring180: false

Failover: never

Privacy: false

Glob: noplus

RequestTimeout:

Codecs:

CodecLock: true

Expires: 3600

FromUser:

Tel: true

TranscodeDtmf: false

AssociatedAddresses:

InterOffice: false

DialPlan:

Colines:

DialogPermission:

For each phone, I entered the Sipgate-Number as the ANI (49#############).

For outgoing calls, we can only see the correct number in the display of the called person if we enter the Sipgate User-ID (*********) as the number to be displayed. Username is then set to the 'real' telephone-number (49############). This works but makes no sense because if we configured the SnomONE this way, we would have to setup a new line for every telephone... but we only want to use ONE line to SIPGATE...

If we configure the SnomONE like it would make sense (with P-Preferred-Identity, etc....), we either get the Anonymous-Problem or the Snomone mixes the P-Preferred-Identity with the username and we get an error from SIPGATE ('Check from field').

Can someone give me a hint or a working setup configuration for SIPGATE?

Thanks very much for your support!

Many providers use the number in the from field for authentication purposes. This is "okay" for soft phones, but for PBX you quickly run into the problem that redrected calls don't work.

In order to solve this, choose the mode "No Indication" for Remote Party/Privacy Indication. You'll loose the possibility to see the original number in a redirected call, but there is no other way when From is used this way.
