koolandrew
The callback function works, you can dial the number and it will dial back if the caller presses 2 from the autoattendant, it will call back. Isnt there a way of calling the system, so the call is not engaged, yet it calls back. I thought that this used to work in earlier versions? pbx support
Callback feature works like this Case 1: Extension 40 calls 41 If 41 is "busy", the 40 will hear the message, press 1 for call back, 2 to leave a message. If 40 presses 1, then PBX activates the callback service. After 41 becomes "free" (disconnect the last call), then PBX calls back 40 to remind it about the callback. Now 40 can either continue with the call back or cancel it. Case 2 Extension 40 calls 41 If 41 is "free", but does not pickup. 40 will hear the same message, press 1 for call back, 2 to leave a message. If 40 presses 1, then PBX activates the callback service. In this case PBX will wait for 41 to make a call and hangup, to know that it is available again. Then PBX calls back 40 to remind it about the callback. Now 40 can either continue with the call back or cancel it.
