Pablo
Is someone willing to share how they configured their iptables? I'm trying to set 'em up on Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS; for the first time on a linux distro. Particularly, do I need any other rules in addition to: sudo iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport [port] -j ACCEPT for ports 80, 443, 5060, 5061, 123, 389; and sudo iptables -A INPUT -p udp --dport [port] -j ACCEPT for ports 5060, 16384:16484 ???? Vodia PBX
For me, the question is if you need iptables at all (what would it be good for). If the server exclusively offers the PBX service, it might be easier to make sure there is nothing else opening ports (netstat) and then the iptables configuration becomes trivial.
